*Well, they did now. The Count had installed himself and his new bride in an old, crumbling gothic monstrosity at quite a reasonable rate. It even came complete with mote and crypt.*

A little after nightfall, the castle was approached by the figure of a young woman who would have satisfied all of the qualifications for being your standard vampire temptress if she weren't whistling, practically skipping up to the edge of the moat, and carrying a purse with a package of cinnamon graham crackers in it*.
___ *They had been for Lea, but Magda had discovered that the cinnamon dust on the crackers contained a substantial amount of plain sugar grains, and as a result, she had developed a habit of eating them herself.

*The Count opened the door. he'd put around a request for a maid in certain circles (undead ones, anyway), and the woman looked like a likely candidate.*
"Come in."

"Oh, sank hyou," said Magda, beaming as she came inside.
She found herself in a large, dusty, spiderweb-laden entry hall. Clearly, the master of the house was more desperate for a maid than the advertisement had indicated. It was enough to make you wonder if he'd dwelled in a cave or something.

"My wife and I have only recently moved in here. I assume you are here to enquire about the position?"

Magda nodded, with the typical overenthusiasm of someone uncomfortable with their English skills who has learned to rely more on body language.

"What is your name?"
*The suave Count desperately hoped she wouldn't ask his.*

((They eloped?))
"Miles O'Keefe Dracula. But no one calls me by my first names."

((There's some time warping involved. It's complicated. Needless to say, it was her idea.))
"Vhat's a Keefe?"

*At least she hadn't asked how much keefe he had. She could still be forgiven.*
"It's one of my last names."

"Ah..."
She then mentally stumbled right onto the joke and giggled slightly.

*The Count decided to move on as quickley as possible.*
"You wouldn't have to live here, though I can provide sleeping quarters. As you can see, there is much housework that needs to be done, as this is a very old building."

"I don't need accomodations, sank hyou."
She was beaming again, and didn't seem to realize that most people would find a smile that wide, with fangs she hadn't learned to retract yet, a little off.
"I vill be goink ome to my flat during se day."

*Being a vampire himself, he didn't mind this. And she was attractive, which was beneficial although he made a point of not getting involved with the help.*
"It's settled then. I pay ((insert appropriate amount)) a week, and I do not wish myself or my wife disturbed while we're asleep for anything less than a peasent mob with torches."
