At her cue, Megan took a deep breath and started walking toward the altar with Aziraphale on her arm. Somebody had to give her away, after all.

Severus looked at Magda.
Although ten times more solemn than a wedding normally called for Or was that a funeral. No matter, same thing.

James watched with terrible glee as the object of his affection, the woman of his dreams, the apple in his eye and all those other awful cliche's that could be used to express pure love, came walking down the aisle to the altar.
As she stood in front of him James grinned "Hello."

"Um, hello," Megan whispered.
Of all the times for me to think about Erik... another woman gone off and abandoned him, that's me...
No. She couldn't think about him right now. She smiled at James.

James smiled and turned to the priest as he began to speak.
"We are gathered here today, in the sight of GOD, and in the face of family and friends, to join together James and Megan in holy matrimony; which is an honorable estate, instituted of GOD, since the first man and the first woman walked on the earth.
Therefore it is not to be entered unadvisably, or lightly, but reverently and soberly. In to this holy estate these two persons presant come now to be joined.
If any one can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace."
((Sadly I know this speech by heart... I hate weddings.))

Out of the corner of her eye, Megan saw her daughter smiling at someone. She turned away from the priest briefly enough to follow Pina's gaze over to- wait, Richard? Megan sighed. Poor Pina was clearly still deluding herself.

The priest smiled "Good, I require, and charge you both, that if either of you know any impediment, why you may not be lawfully joined together in matrimony, you confess it now."
James smiled and shook his head "None."

Richard nodded at Megan when he noticed her looking at him. As soon as the bride had turned back to the priest, Richard looked at Pina again and gestured subtly at his hips, looking somewhat amused, and then nodded at Megan's wide panniered skirt before looking at Pina again.

Erik was forced to hold his peace. But he didn't like it one bit. He didn't want people other than himself to get married or be happy. It wasn't fair. Aside from the personal issues, it just reminded him of all that he could never have. Especially now that he had no body, no ability to touch anyone. Unless he borrowed Julian's body, and frankly, most people didn't like to let him close.
Erik was distracted from the nauseating scene of Megan and Norrington by the even more repulsive vision of Richard and Proserpina making eyes and gesturing and carrying on some sort of secret conversation under everyone's noses. Those that had them. Why wasn't Megan seeing this? What was she doing? She was clearly an unfit mother. Erik recalled the boathouse, and wished he hadn't.
That poxy limping bastard had to die.
Distracted again--in this (lack of) form, Erik was even more scattered than usual--he drifted over towards Christian. The sight of the boy caused a hollow ache in his chest, which was just to the right of the one caused by Christine. He wondered that he had a chest anymore, really, when people kept scooping whole chunks out of it.
Erik hated everyone. And what was worse, he hated ineffectually, without impact. He couldn't make good on his threats, his anger. He could merely watch. Forever, apparently.

*She gave Richard an amused half-smile and rolled her eyes exaggeratedly. She shrugged a little. She thought Megan looked very pretty in the dress, even if it was rather ridiculous.*

"N-no, sir," Megan said uncertainly.

James frowned slightly at Megan's hesitation, but decided it was simply bridal nerves and that when this was all over, everything would be all right.
The priest gave Megan a reassuring look "This is the day you have chosen to become husband and wife. We are here, not only to witness your commitment to each other, but also to wish you every happiness in your future life together.
Within its framework of commitment, and loyalty, marriage enables the establishment of a home, where through trust, patience and respect, the love and affection, which you have for each other may develop into a deep and lasting relationship.
We, who are witnessing your marriage, hope that despite the stresses inevitable in any life, your Love, Respect for each other, and your trust and understanding of each other will increase your contentment, and heighten your joy in living.
James, do you take Megan for your lawful wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance, in the Holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, honor, comfort, and cherish her, from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her, for as long as you both shall live?"
James smiled softly "I do."
The priest then turned to Megan "Megan, do you take James for your lawful wedded husband, to live together after God’s ordinance, in the Holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, honor, comfort, and cherish him, from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto him, for as long as you both shall live?"

Jess sniffled a bit, holding on to Bruce's hand.
She hated weddings as much as she hated marriage, but it was nice to finally see one of her stu's happy. And not drinking so much, the lush.
