The newspaper announced the coup in cold, flat black lettering. There were no shock tactics in terms of the arrangement of the print on the page, no lurid headlines. It simply said, very plainly, that the French Queen Marie Antoinette was now the consort of the first King Richard of France.

Herbert swallowed hard. He'd lived- sort of- through the last time the Austrian woman was Queen. He knew that she would probably fail to prove any more popular this time around, especially with an English king at her side. But Herbert didn't worry about her, or her new man, or what would happen to them. As he carried the newspaper to his father's room, all he could think of was how scarcely he had escaped the last revolution with his head. He knocked on his father's door apprehensively.

*The door opened to reveal Krolock, impeccably attired as always, at precisely the moment the papered was handed to the angel*
"Yes?"

*He handed Krolock the paper.*
"This is just terrible. It's only a matter of time before this gets overthrown, or the poor get completely trampled..."

*He scanned the relevant page, his expression turning more grim and somber (well, than usual) as he read*
"This will only end in bloodshed, I'm afraid." He said darkly.

*Everyone being crowded around a newspaper was always of interest to Cal, who, despite having been assimilated into the family, still felt the urge to keep the castle tidy, and who was walking by with a bucket of cleaning products. She peered around Herbert to see it.*
"D'you suppose there'll be a revolt?" *She asked casually.*
