*Dewshine smiled and offered him her small hand.*
"In that case, monsieur, lead the way."

((Walter thanks you))
Hand in hand, they slowly made their way through the room. Even with Dewshine's glow, they could not see more than a few feet in front of them, which was all empty space anyway. They eventually came to an opening leading to a tunnel.
Walter looked to her "Shall we?"

(( XD You're welcome. I think you needed a lift in your spirit right now )) *Dewshine looked back at him. Her blue eyes were glittering with excitement.* "We shall. Let me go first inside, to check if there are any dangers there. Elves see much better in the darkness than humans." *She released his hand and went inside the tunnel.*

Walter didn't want to let her go. He trusted she knew what she was doing, but still worried about her. She went far enough in that her brillaint glow grew dim, yet he waited.

*His name was unknown to any human tongue. His tribe was called Diablo's. Their goal was to conquer the earth. And when he was sent on a mission to Paris, the humans had caught him and chained him here in the cellar. He hated elves more than anything else. The elves had always tried to stop the Diablo's from conquerring the world. So when he noticed a sound by the door to the room he was bound in, he lifted his head.
His eyes narrowed when he saw the bright light around the little elf girl that entered. She hadn't noticed him yet. He breathed deeply and blew flames against her. She managed to protect herself against being torched by the flames, but hit her head against the floor when she fell. She was laying still, unconscious.*

Walter was spared the fire, but stood shocked for a moment as the flame passed and Dewshine was knocked to the floor. As she fell, her grip on his hand was lost and her glow was extinguised. She lay at his feet, but she was lost to the darkness.
Walter called out. "Who attacks us unprovoked?"

*He stood up and took a step out in the room when he heard another voice, a male one. The language was not Elvish. It had to be human.
He was a big creature, big enough to fill the room. And he had a long, thick tail that could knock out his enemies if he swung it hard enough. His yellow eyes, glowing in the dark, turned against where the voice had come from. He gritted his pointed teeth, then he roared again, taking a step closer to the elf girl, in order to eat her.*

*Dewshine was laying on the floor, unconscious. She didn't notice the enormous creature towering over her, ready to kill her.*

Walter finally caught the faint glow of the enemy moving in the shadows towards them. He quickly scooped Dewshine up in his arms, she was very light, and began running away from the giant shadow.

*He growled when the human man picked up his Elf toast. With a growl he followed after the human man, trying to make him drop the elf. He took a deep breath and breathed fire after the human and the elf.*

Walter felt the heat approaching him fast. He quickly took a dive to the ground to avoid it, cradling Dewshine so he wouldn't injure her, but he now had no time to get back up before the beast would be upon him.
He lay Dewshine on the floor before spinning to his back, reaching into his pocket, and finally taking the object out. With a quick snap of the wrist, he had ensnared the beast with an invisible line. He tugged, hopping to topple the beast to the ground, earning himself more time to escape.

*He stopped, uncertain what to do, when he noticed the human stopped. He watched the man putting down the elf girl gently. An evil grin went over his face, and he blew a flame in her direction, hoping to get his elf toast after all.*

Walter was dismayed that his weapon failed him. As the flames came closer to Dewshine, he quckly lifted her again and ran towards the exit. He felt the back of his suit jacket being singed. A horrible smell rose. He was on fire! He tried to ignore the encroaching pain, and finally burst through the door, which he found with a bit of luck, and a bit of light from the flames. He placed Dewshine down in the hallway, and took off his own jacket to stamp out the fire. He checked her vitals to make sure she was okay, and she seemed fine, just unconcious. He reapplied his jacket, a hole in the back of it now, and took the time to button it up. Finally, he checked his weapon. This time, he would not fail, and he marched back into the room to face the beast.

*He growled in anger when he saw the human return. He stretched out an arm, his razor-sharp claws visible, he aimed at Walter and attacked.*

Walter flicked his wrists, his weapon now ensnaring the beast's wrist. Just as the claws made contact with Walter's flesh, he tugged the arm away, twisting it uncomfortably. He held the position despite the searing pain in his arm.
