It's eyes snapped open, suddenly awake from a long, dreamless sleep. Absolute darkness concealed It, the cavity remained undisturbed. This didn't feel like the time, It's instincts said 'too soon'. Why, then, was It now alert? A secondary instinct? Something It hadn't forseen? To invstigate, however, would require It to break down the walls that conceal It. No, best to remain here for now. Best to bide It's time.

It grew weary of the silence. How long had It waited, It did not know. What harm would come if It ventured out of hiding? As if anything could hurt It anyway. The monster was arrogant like that. It raised It's fist and began to pound forcefully on the wall. It struck with an inhuman force, until the dusty cellar air shone upon It and the musty air filled It's lungs.
It took it's first step forward in over a century.

*Something stirred in Julian, a restlessness. He wandered the corridors, seeking...something. There was too much that was strange these days. It left him on unsure footing. He hated that. The hairs on the back of his neck suddenly raised. He froze, inhaling deeply to confirm what he already knew.*
"What are you doing here?" *He asked the seemingly empty blackness.*

The words echoed in It's ears. They were the first words It had heard in 108 years. ((I'm getting sick of refering to him as It. Why did I start? )) It remained silent. Maybe the voice would pass. It was not afraid, but also felt no need for a confrontation just yet.

((Then stop calling him "it" As soon as Vicente thinks of himself as a "he" he becomes one. Or something. XD ))

((That's what I'm thinking, I'll humanize him more, and have him change how he refers to himself at the same time.))

((Yeah, that's not a problem at all. Characters often need time to grow and settle.))
*Julian frowned. It was not like the other otherworldly beings here, his companions. This was...different. Unfamiliar.*
"If you are of elsewhere, do not be afraid. I am not here to trouble you. I am merely...curious."

Dare It speak? What if It is not understood?
It realized It had frozen still to remain silent before. It all at once relazed and shuffled into a commanding stance. The voice spoke French, It would try that.
"I warn you not to approach lest you wish to view hell firsthand."

*Now Julian's interest was piqued.*
"Hell? I am not afraid. Such fires bore me. Please, come forward amongst potential allies."

Allies? It scoffed at the naivite of the voice.
"If you wish to seal your fate" It moved slowly toward the voice, alert and ready.

"Fate has great designs for me already." *Julian answered softly to himself. He waited patiently for whatever it was to emerge. Well, as patiently as he was able. It wasn't a strong suit of his.*

It rounded a corner and could see the path ahead had enough light to make out a figure standing there. As It approached, the figure grew details. He was handsome. A shame he would die soon. It couldn't understand, however, why the man was not afraid.
"You should be kneeling", It snarled.

"Why?" *Julian asked in genuine curiosity. After all, he wasn't even sure what it was.*
"What purpose would it serve?"

It was a bit confused by the man's lack of, well, any noticeable emotion at all. It wasn't furious, as a lack of manners would have made him in the past. No, It was... intregued.
"Why? Surely humans still kneel before their masters?
It knew It had been away too long. Humans must have forgotten about the horror It's kind could bring to those who refuse to serve.
It moved closer still, so perhaps the man could feel the warmth of his breath. "And at the very lest, they cower."

((But....but...Bowie... Well let's just say that I'd kneel before him. Hotness.))
*Julian's eyes looked proud, but almost hinted at sadness. Yet his words were simple and honest.*
"I am not human. Or at least that is what I am told. I am not bound to this plane as they are."
