"It's alright. Like I said, I haven't been out in a while. I'm sorry if I was rude to you."

*Poe smiled.*
It's hard for me to tell just yet.
"That is quite all right. So are you in need of companionship? Or am I being unpleasant for your studies?"
*She gestured again at the paper.*

((I don't really know where to go with this conversation))
"It's alright."
*She put her paper aside*
"Have you been in Paris long?"

((It's ok, she can leave if you want her to.))
*Poe smiled disarmingly.*
"I arrived yesterday. This is my first day out, so I'm afraid I can get a little overexcited."
*She studied Irene for a moment.*
"You do not share a dialect with the natives of this city. You are from elsewhere as well? Have you been here a long time?"

((I don't want to kick you out, I just don't know how to interact with her))
*Irene shrugged*
"I'm American. I'm fluent in French, but I never did manage to totally lose my accent."

((It's all right. I won't have her keep you. She can leave or I can have Genghis interrupt. It's up to you.))
America. I wonder what sector that's in.
*Poe nodded.*
"Is it far from here. America?"

((What do you think I'm gonna say? And Poe might get a kick out of observing Khan.)) "Yes. Across an ocean, in facy. Where are you from?"

((Ok, give me a sec.))
*Poe paused for a moment, looking for something in her studies that would have been far away.*
"I am from Finland."
*She answered confidently.*

*Genghis was vexed. Women seemed to be thwarting him at every turn. When did that happen? He made his way down the street focused, but looking for distraction. He passed by the window of a cafe, indifferent, but then took a step back. There. It couldn't be. His face grew more stern and he entered. He approached Irene, ignoring the woman in her company. In attempting to rein in his rage, his voice came out a low growl.*
"What are you doing here? You do not belong in such a place."

*struts in and ignores everyone else, going directly to a table by the window*
I really should be looking for Aideen, but...she'll find me.
*pulls out her Blackberry and begins fiddling with it while she waits*

Aideen walks in the cafe with a look of complete arrogance, something was obviously different with her, but none could tell; she noticed Emmy and smiled mischeviously. Jogging over she sat down with an oomph scaring her "Why hello there."

Oh, hello! Sorry about this, I was just finishing a song...
*fumbles to put away her Blackberry*

"A song eh?" Aideen smirked "You know you're far to pretty to be a pop star, you just aren't slutty enough" Aideen shrugged and looked out the window."Unless you want to be working for the Disney channel for the rest of your life."

*laughs and glances down at her Blackberry*
Well, it's not that kind of pop music. It's more like Annie Lennox or Sarah McLaughlin or Imogen Heap. And it's not about the same kind of things that most pop music is about these days.
*glances up at Aideen*
Would you...like to hear some of it?

Aideen looked at her with a crooked smile "You know I heard you sing the american national anthem the other day, it was at a racing event, it was kind of loud, but from what I could hear it wasn't so terrible." Aideen's looked back out the window. "You're a pretty girl Emmy, the entertainment business is no place for pretty girls." She wasn't sure what she was getting at, but she was getting at it.
((Which is true I was watching NASCAR with my parents and bam there she was singing the anthem, haha))
