"I can't keep track anymore."
*He admitted.*
((I assume this is after a few other fights.))

((God, probably, with her track record and red hair.))
"Then don't. I certainly stopped bothering."
*She beamed at him, still cradling the beetle in its jar as if it were a small child.*

*Liam smiled and picked up an empty crate. He overturned it and sat down.*

*She sat back on the stool in front of the table and spun back to face her microscope, adjusting the focus with one hand as she peered through at a specimen.*
"So how does one plan a wedding, exactly? I feel as if we should...as if de Winter tradition trumps MacNamara practicality and we couldn't exactly just go meet the parson by ourselves like my parents did. Though my parents had the added inducement of my imminent arrival to worry about, so perhaps planning wasn't their strong point."
*She glanced at him curiously.*
"Does it bother you that I'm next door to being a bastard?"

"Nope." *He said simply.* "And really, my parents got married at the mairie in Monte Carlo. We don't have much of an example to go by on that side, either."

*She snorted a laugh.*
"What'll we do, then? Should I wear a dress or something?" *She had found herself grown used to wearing breeches during field work, and had largely continued in the habit while not in public.*

*He chuckled.*
"I think that would be preferable. It doesn't have to be huge, but my mother's family is probably going to want to come, as well as Aunt Bee and Uncle Giles and Uncle James and Aunt Megan."

"...Mam will wish her and Da's family there...but--wait. You're rich."
*She grinned slyly at him with an entreating look.*
"Would you feel like shipping over half a village from Ireland?"

"Only half?" *He said dryly, but there was a light behind his eyes and a little smile playing around his mouth which meant yes, he'd ship her family over.*

"Thanks."

*He thought for another moment.*
"And after the wedding. I don't suppose you'll want to live at Manderley."

*She shrugged.*
"I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Yer Mam's got the running of the place so well in hand. Then again, our families are here, but...I don't know. Is there such a thing as being settled too near one's family?"
YOU WOULD NOT ALWAYS WISH TO BE AT LONGBOURNE, I THINK

"Yes." *He answered without hesitation.*
*Then he paused for a moment.*
"We don't have to be settled." *He suggested.* "We could travel."

*He shrugged.*
"Anywhere. Everywhere."
