*Pina. Where was Pina? Erik had lost track of Richard somehow--the wedding was distracting, and irritating, and lots of other things that kept Erik keyed up and not at top form.
And somehow, Pina and Richard had both disappeared from the party. Erik, cursing, flew about Manderley, causing any open flames to flicker and many quests to wonder under their breaths about drafts and the old house not being what it used to be.
Then it struck him. The boathouse. Fool! Why hadn't he thought of it before? He raced there, not thinking about what he might be able to do once he got there but focused only on keeping his daughter away from that man.*
Hunchbacked troublemaking pervert.
*But he was not prepared for the sight that greeted him in the moodily-lit interior of the boathouse. Richard and Pina, entwined in love's duet in a tangle of pale limbs. Erik's residual sense of self heaved fruitlessly as everything else shut down completely. Panic suffused his being, and a wordless cry rose from his spirit, whose physical manifestation flickered fitfully in and out of being before he fled mindlessly out into the pounding surf.*
((I leave it up to you whether either of them saw or heard him.))

Just then, Emmy walked in. "Oh, hi guys!"
((Heh, made you look.))

***FADE IN***
The kiss began on her mouth but meandered downward, along the line of her jaw, her throat, her collarbone, and then finally settling in the little spot between her breasts.

((Have been banned from the computer and... everything else. I'll try to get in replies as often as I can, like when mom's at work or whatever. I also may have to sneak off to the at&t place so I can get a damn phone.))
*Smiling to herself, she stroked his hair as he kissed her, at a loss for anything else to do.*

He raised his head to meet her eyes and smiled at her.

*She smiled back, pulling him up to kiss his lips. She curled up against him, perfectly content to lie there in the musty old boathouse and never move again.*

He ran his hand along her chin without saying a word.

"You're beautiful," he whispered, and he meant it.

*She looked at the floor, blushing but still smiling so hard that her think cheeks hurt.*

"Don't be silly," *she said. She just wasn't used to being called beautiful.*

"Let's not ever move."

"As much as I would enjoy that, my dearest, I rather suspect your mother will be expecting both you and that sad example of clothing currently laying on the floor back soon." Richard replied, putting his arm around her. "Which would be far easier, I suspect, if I ever wanted to let you go."
