*Water was coughed out of his mouth and pain read in his expression as he tried to suck in breath, his eyes opening slowly.*

*Wild looked at him with worry written all over her cute little face. Her eyes were filled with tears. Her voice was pleading with him.*
"Father, speak to me, please! How do you feel?"

*Spitting out more water, he looked at her in frustration, completely at a loss.*
Why?
*Sighing gently, he stood pausing a moment to steady himself.*

*Wild looked up at him sadly, also standing up, ready to support him if he should fall again.*
"I was so afraid when you fainted again. I don't want anything to happen to you."

But it does. I can't escape it.
*Without a word, Joseph smoothed his robes and walked to the door, calmly making his way down the hall.*

*Wild looked after him, with a glimpse of surprise on her face. Then she ran after him, not wanting to understand why he was avoiding her.*
"Father Joseph, wait!"
*She grabbed his arm and looked up at him with tears in her eyes.*
"If anything happens to you, I want you to tell me, so I can try to help you. Don't you see how much I love you? You are my father now."

*Not willing to be deterred, Joseph continued on, not looking at her as she attached to him.*
I am not fit to be anyone's father. I am no one.
*He set his jaw and walked towards the bishop's office.*

*Wild finally released him, looking up at him with the most wounded expression she could master.*
"You told me there was forgiveness for EVERYONE!!!"
*Without another word, she turned on her heal and walked back into the church.*

Apparently not for me.
*He turned back to watch her for a moment as she stormed away, then slipped into the office.*

****AFTER THE ARGUMENT WITH ANNA REGAN****
*Wild slipped inside her room and looked around for a while. Never before had she felt so shattered as she did now. She started packing her things, getting ready to leave, as Anna had told her to. She couldn't bring herself to be mad at Anna. She knew she was right. But still her harsh words hurt, more than Wild was willing to show. For the last time she sat down by the little table in the corner, and wrote the last letter she would ever write in the human world.*
"Dear Father Joseph,
My heart is heavy as I write you these words, as in this moment I do not know where you are or if you ever return. I can only hope and pray that you are safe, and that your angels will guide you.
When you find this, I am no longer in the human world. For a long time I have felt divided, shattered between two worlds. That of the Humans and that of the Elves. How strongly haven't I wished that I could belong in both! But it has been made perfectly clear for me that I do not belong in the human world.
I am going on a journey to seek out my own kind, if they still exist. I do not know if I will ever return to the human world. Before I leave, I want to thank you for everything you have done for me. Again I want to ask your forgiveness for the things I did that hurt you. If you one day should find it in your heart to forgive me, I will seek out my own kind in The Elven Kingdom of Lorien.
In my heart there will always be a noble priest named Father Joseph. You will be in my heart and in my prayers.
Your problematic, but devoted friend Wildfeather"
*Wild placed the letter on the pillow to her bed. Then she put on her dark cloak, picked up the bag with her things, and walked quietly out in the stormy night. The door shut silently behind her.*

**WEEKS LATER**
Anna roamed the halls of Notre Dame, a ghost of the woman whom she had become. The tone of the church had become somber and dead, since Father Josephs departure. The other priests began watching her, speaking to her only in passing.
It seemed...
They were simply waiting for her to die.
To be rid of me.
She found herself standing outside of Wild's room, memories of happy times and conversations came rushing back to her, along with the guilt. She felt the tears she had grown to hate begin boiling inside of her, she pushed them back down and opened the door.
The room had a small layer of dust as the window had been closed, but nothing seemed changed, other than Wild's possessions being gone.
"I can still smell her" she said quietly, she sniffed deeply and closed her eyes, when she opened them her eyes fell upon the note on the bed. She walked over to his slowly and picked it up with a shaking hand.
Reading it she sighed and knew immediately what she needed to do.
She placed the note in her dress pocket and walked to her room and began to pack.
**LATER**
Anna sat outside of Notre Dame saying goodbye to some of the nuns and to the bishop "Thank you all for allowing me to stay, even after the father had left." She looked up as the carriage arrived "God Bless." She kissed the bishops hand and picked up her bags and got in.
She watched as first Notre Dame and then the whole of Paris disappeared in to the distance, a single tear drop falling as she turned around.
She touched her dress pocket where the note was and sighed.
"Au revoir Paris."
