*Violetta stifled a small scream of horror.* "...you have a--! "

***NEW DAY***
*Becca led Rudolf into the library. The crates were already there, two servants moving to unpack them. Becca dismissed them easily.*
"...I wish to organize them upon the shelves, myself. I believe your help would be more suited to seeing the other rooms put to rights. Light some fires, open the curtains," *she ordered, pushing aside a heavy curtain herself, dust dancing in the new light.*

*Rudolf had to resist the urge to walk about the library and examine the titles--he'd have time to do that later. Rudolf opened the crate that the servants hadn't had a chance to touch yet*
"Here's the non-fiction..."

"Non-fiction...that wall over there," *she said, pointing to a set of shelves on the other side of the vast room, her voice echoing slightly, 'cause it's totally the library from Beauty and the Beast.* "I'll make a start on these novels..." *She chewed her lip for a moment.* "...alphabetical or by subject, what do you think?"

*Taking an armful of books with him, Rudolf headed in the direction Rebecca had pointed out*
"Both? Subject and alphabet?"

*She shot him a look.*
"...then there are many small sections rather than a single cohesive section."

"Well...considering the sheer number of books, I don't think we'll have many small sections. But, it's you're library, I don't want to impose anything..."

*Becca smiled shyly.*
"Our library, Rudolf. I suppose you speak some sense..." *She began putting books onto the shelves.*

*There was a faint reddening in his cheeks*
"Er...yes...ours...I guess I really don't think of De Chagny holdings as belonging to anyone but you, my dear."

"That time of my life is past me now," *she said quietly.* "These I hold only until my children may take them in hand...and as merciful refuge from Vienna."

"A refuge from the mess of our positions." He mused.
"The twins, and...our soon-to-be," a smile appeared on his face at that, "they will need something of their own."

"Stefan will be good to them...when we are gone," *she said with confidence. Absently, she rested a hand against her bodice--the dress that would not fit her within a few short weeks.* "He's grown up so quickly, it seems...and yet I remember every moment of it."

"They do grow too fast, don't they? The twins are already getting so big..."
*He paused for a moment, turning toward his wife*
"I'm looking forward to our next." He grinned.

"As am I," *she said with a grin.* "Though some mornings it's difficult to remind myself of that fact..."
*Carrying a pile of books on one arm, she passed close enough to poke him in the ribs.*
"You get to carry the next one after this. Science must find a way."

*He chuckled*
"I would help ease the burden if given the opportunity."
