*Wild sighed deeply and looked up at him with a sad smile.*
"Thank you, James. I feel horrible right now. I should probably feel happy to become married, but instead of the happiness and excitement I expect other brides feel, I feel like I'm on my way to my own execution. But I gave my word, and a promise is sacred for a Dark Elf. I can't back out without losing my honor."

But he kept the thought to himself; some things, a person just had to learn for herself.
