Mozart sat down in front of his piano and began playing a tune from his new opera. It was fun, fancy and floaty, all the things he liked.

Vienna didn't bother to knock before opening the door and leading Beethoven in, grinning at Mozart in a way that made it very obvious she wanted him to notice.

*Beethoven was half-paying attention to the occupants of the room, his ear turned to what Mozart had been playing*
"New work, Herr Mozart?"

Wolfgang stopped abruptly and turned to them with a smile, Vienna was glowing You work quick he thought with a smile.
He stood up and took the hand of Ludwig "Indeed, I promised to show you some of my new opera did I not?"

*Beethoven warmly shook his hand*
"Of course. I'm rather curious about it."

Vienna shrugged and smiled playfully at Wolfgang as if she had no idea how she always ended up in these sorts of situations, then wandered over to the window. She could already feel herself being edged out in favor of music.

Wolfgang looked over at Vienna and whispered very low so that only Ludwig could hear "I see she's already got her claws in to you, be careful with that one, she's insatiable" and with that sat at the piano. "I call it Der Tanz von den Schmetterlingen or The Dance of the Butterflies" as he began to play his fingers seemed to meld with the keyboard. The music was light, but full of body and a spirituality that only he seemed to find when he wrote. As he finished he smiled at Beethoven "What do you think?" ((Der Tanz von den Schmetterlingen is something I made up, so don't worry about trying to look up what he is playing ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ))

Vienna heard Mozart mutter something to Beethoven but couldn't make out what it was. She turned and raised an eyebrow, but then shrugged and turned back to look out across the Place de l'Opera. She rather childishly chose not to respond when Mozart had finished playing, though she did laugh scornfully at the piece's title.

*Beethoven quirked a brow at the comment about Vienna, but he didn't say anything on, merely giving Mozart a nod and turning to the music. He gave it his full attention, listening quietly until the other composer had finished*
"Excellent. Though, the name doesn't make it sound as deep as it runs."

He laughed "Well I've never been one for appropriate titles" he smiled "it is about a woman who finds herself very alone, she's looking for a place she belongs, but is very, confused about who she is. This piece itself is when she is about the point where she doesn't know if she can continue on"
he pointed down to another paper with lyrics, he started to play a bit slower and sang a part of it, in german.
"<I am so afraid My love My life I am floating in the clouds to jump would it be right?>"
He smiled "It's a story about self discovery."

Vienna coughed rather loudly. And fakely.

*Beethoven snuck a look in Vienna's direction, giving her a secret wink before turning his attention back to Mozart*
"Interesting. What would you say was the inspiration?"

Mozart caught that, he always catches secret winks, he was just that cool.
"Inspiration? Oh well, I'm not sure, I just started writing it."

"Wolfgang rarely thinks before doing things," Vienna informed Beethoven without looking away from the window.

*Ludwig coughed before moving ahead with the conversation*
"Well, I must say, not everything I wrote was entirely planned-out beforehand."
