*High on the hill that rose up from the field stood a towering fortress, a great monument of stone with turrets that twisted up to the sky. It was well armed, but under-manned and the hallways were vacant places. A darkness seemed to be creeping in, an emptiness and a sense of foreboding. The gate was protected by a heavy portcullis, and the windows were small and high. Inside, armor and mail sat, ages having passed without use, echoes of another age. Deeper the stairs went, into a forgotten cellar and beyond…a cave, hidden by a secret door, a keeper of relics long lost…*

*Malefica entered the door and stepped aside, allowing her allies to go first. She looked around.*
"It seems like nobody has been here since last time I left. Good. Welcome to my fortress. Not much, but we will be sheltered from the enemys weapons here."

*Leai entered, carrying a carton of lasers with her*
"I got what supplies I could...these weapons are hard to come by on this planet."

*Malefica turned to welcome Leia.*
"Leia, I really appreciate what you do for me. I hope one day I can return the favor. Thank you very much!"

*Icarus looked the woman over shrewdly, but nodded in appreciation.*
"Thank you for the supplies."
*He arched his brow, wondering what kind of woman she was underneath that gruff demeanor.*
"Your aid is deeply appreciated."

*Malefica took of her cloak, showing off her white Guardian Uniform. The clothes were tight and really showed off her beautiful body.*
"There are enough of bedrooms, so I let everyone choose where they want to stay. Icarus, do you want a room of your own, or do you want to stay with me?"

"I..."
*He turned back to her and frowned. They didn't need to make their private matters so open.*
I don't want to talk about it here.
"I'm sure we'll work out the details."
*He caught her by the wrist, his grip firm. His voice was low.*
"There is a matter that I wish to speak to you on."
*He looked up to Leia with a bow of his head.*
"If you'll excuse us."

*Malefica looked up at him with a glimpse of surprise in her beautiful doe-eyes. She didn't understand the sudden change in his moods, neither did she understand why his grip around her arm was so firm. As far as she knew, she hadn't done anything wrong.*
"Of course we can talk," *she said in a calm voice.* "But I suggest you let go of my arm, or someone may notice and believe I am in trouble. Perhaps even my cousin Hades."
*With a gesture with her free arm, she showed him into one of the bedrooms.*
"We can talk in here."

Post by Haldir of Lorien on Jan 21, 2008 15:13:06 GMT -5
*An army of elves marched over the stone bridge leading from the battlefield to Malefica's fortress. Their leader was a young, tall and musculous elf, with long, blonde hair, pointed ears and warm blue eyes. Like all the elves he was carrying a longbow, a cog of arrows and a long sword. His name was Haldir of Lorien, and as a Captain, he was the highest Commander of the Elven Army. Haldir and his warriors entered the fortress and made a militant greeting.*

*Malefica had not yet entered the bedrom when the Elven Army arrived. She turned on the doorstep and walked back into the main room to receive her new guests. Haldir made a militant greeting, and she bowed her head graciously and blushed by the sight of him.*
"Welcome, Haldir of Lorien! I am grateful to see that the pact between Humans and Elves still excist! You can rest assure that both you and your soldiers are most welcome. As you may see for yourself, this is a big fortress. Finding rooms for everyone should be an easy task. In every room you will find anything you need, so please settle down, and make yourselves comfortable."

*Haldir bowed to the beautiful woman. He saw a man beside her, a man that right now looked at him with eyes darkened from jealousy. As if he owned the woman and was afraid to lose her?*
"The High Elvens of Lorien thank you, Guardian of The Holy Grail. If you hadn't taken this war against the Northern Trickster, the world would have gone under. Villages would be burned, men would be taken from their wives, children from their parents. The survivors would have been taken away in chains, and used as slaves until they perished. You are brave to take the destiny of the world on your tiny shoulders!"

*In a corner, Don Juan polished his sword. Strapping on a bit of leather armor, he smiled at both the ladies in the room*

*He laughed*
"As to the matters at hand, I am glad we have you on our side."

*Haldir smiled. He had noticed the sadness in this man's heart and wanted to comfort him.*
"You may have the opportunity to tell them yourself, my friend. At least one of them. My little sister Leetah is on her way to this fortress tonight. She has just finished school, and since our parents are dead, I am her only protector."
