"A woman" he said with a growl "and Paris."

*Now that sounded all too familiar. Except that his woman was now a man. He really didn't want to think on that.*
"I believe that you will find yourself in good company then. I too have found that Paris and its women are more dangerous a foe than any I've faced."

"Here here" He raised his glass and took a sip then put out a hand toward Genghis "it is a pleasure to meet you, Genghis Khan if I am not mistaken."

*Genghis's smile broadened as he took his hand. It was nice to be recognized by a peer.*
"It is. It is refreshing to see another like yourself here, so far from home, noble Pharaoh."

"And to you" Ramses smiled sadly "tell me dear man, were you too ripped from your throne and thrown in to this dreadful place?"

"I..."
*Genghis lowered his eyes. This was really all his fault. He hadn't been forced here.*
"...came here to renew ties with my blood."
*It was better than admitting that he'd come to conquer and found himself wholly incapable of doing so.*

"Ay then you have a home to return to" he sighed "my home is thousands of years in the past."
Ramses stared at the bar intently, reading every bottle he could on the shelf, it was the first time in so many years that he had thought of Egypt as his home, but it wasn't, not anymore.
"But even if I could return" he turned slowly to the man "I promised a woman my service and my child a throne."

*Well that was something. Emily had never...well, she seemed eager to not have children.*
"The throne of France? That is quite a promise." *He smile good-naturedly.*
"I hope that you have been well compensated."
And that when the time comes, I don't have to kill your child.

"No not France" he said with a sad smirk "the elven kingdom of Lorien, one day it will be hers, one way-" he turned away darkly "-or another."

*Genghis arched his brow.*
"Lorien...I have never heard of such a place."

"Not many have I'm afraid"- but they will he sighed "but it is what I call my home now. It is a vast kingdom that spreads further than the eye can see and even further then, with magical forests and beasts that defy imagination. It sounds, fantastical, I realize but trust me sir, that it is not the alcohol that speaks, but the truth."
Ramses clenched the glass in his hand "Humans rule it now, but they are incompetent, foolish people who grow fat on the riches of the land." He chuckled turning to the man "What they do not realize, is that if they kill the people of their kingdom, they will have no one to rule over, then what is the point?"

*Genghis's brow lowered, deeply perplexed. Surely he had seen many things here...Emily had done things...but...a whole land? That he just...missed?*
"Could you...take me there? To this Lorien?"

Ramses grinned, sobering up slightly "This I can" he stood from the barstool "not many are permitted within the royal city anymore, the king grows weaker and more paranoid everyday" he waved a hand toward the door "but I can take you there."
He opened the door and waved for a strange looking carriage, it was dark black, but it seemed, vines had grown on it or where they... growing.
"It was lent to me by the mother of my child" he opened the door for Genghis with a smile.

*Genghis paused a moment, not expecting so eager a response, but in the end, he was not afraid of this man. If things turned foul, he would be ready. He nodded and stepped inside.*

Ramses jumped in the other side after informing the driver their intentions.
"I'm sorry if this seems a bit, quick, but I trust you understand."
