Here? Coming to visit you, of course. And find out what you think about the school and the hair and the pretending-to-be-a-boy thing. Because I'm going to talk to my dad later and I have a feeling it's not going to go very well.

Thanks. I'm not sure how I'm going to win him over to it, and since he'll probably be so against it I thought it would be nice to possibly have some encouragement, so- double thanks.

"No problem. Want to come inside?"

Sure! *She stepped into the apartment lightly, looking around curiously but not impolitely.*

Oh, no, I'm fine, thanks. *She followed him into the living room and sank down onto one of the chairs.* So you live here with your family?

"Yep. My parents, sister and brother. We had another brother, but he died not too long ago."

Oh, I'm so sorry, Teddy. *Her face clouded slightly.*

"It's okay. It cost us a lot financially, but my sister's been working hard for all of us, and (though I haven't told my family yet) I just got a role in Turnadot at the Opera Populaire." He beamed with pride. He was still waiting for the perfect time to tell his family the good news.

Teddy, that's fantastic! *Her pretty face lit up.* Why didn't you say so in the first place, instead of listening to me babble on about school? Congratulations!

He turned a little red. "Hey, you went to Oxford, and you're a girl! I have to say, yours is the bigger accomplishment."

No, no, this is incredible! School is school, but a role in a show at the Opera! That's amazing, Teddy!

He looked down, grinning sheepishly. "Really, it's nothing. I mean, music's my whole life, so it's not that big a deal."

Nothing? Psh. It is, as they say, bloody fantastic. *She grinned at him, her blue eyes sparkling.*
