"That is an offer indeed, Malefica," *he said solemnly.* "I shall remember it. But now, I must return; Eden must not be left alone."

*Malefica smiled and nodded.*
"By all means. And I have to go to my Fortress, to see Gawain safe. I leave Eden's horse here."
*She gave him a black horse, that was carried with a lot of packages she had left for Eden, among them some freshly baked bread and a box full of peanut butter.*

*Figwit wasn't sure what he'd do with a horse, but he appreciated the food for Eden. It would be more pleasant for her, after all, to have something from home.*
"Thank you, Malefica. Until we meet again."

*Malefica smiled and mounted her horse, making sure she had remembered everything. Gawain was again safely placed in the baby transporter, on the front side of his mother. Malefica gave Figwit a friendly nod.*
"Thank you Figwit. We'll meet again."
*She spurred her horse and was gone.*

******NEW DAY***************************'
Heartlock Braveshooter was among the new Wolfriders recently arriving to Lorien after humans had destroyed their former homes. She had found herself a new home here in Lorien, but now she was restless. She was wandering about in the forest, noticing that some of the leaf on the trees had turned brown. She wondered what that could mean.
She continued her walk in deep thoughts.

Christian, being his wandering old self, stumbled through the forest of Lorien with a bottle of absinthe in hand. A slight stubble shadowed his countenance, and it appeared that his hair hadn't been trimmed in a while.
He collapsed before Heartlock.

Heartlock was abruptly woken up from her deep thoughts as a man with a bottle in his hand collapsed in front of her. She noticed his stubble and his long hair with a frown.
"Drunkard."
She hissed in Elvish. She stopped up, hesitating, to see if he moved, or tried to get back on his feet.

Christian merely released a moan and lay still.

Heartlock looked down at him.
"Good. You're still alive. Then I don't have to kill you."
She poked at him with her spear.
"Are you capable of getting up?"

No words would emerge from Christian's mouth, but he managed to wrap his arms around one of Heartlock's legs, the bottle of absinthe still in hand.

Heartlock cursed silently when he wrapped his arms around her leg, almost causing her to fall.
"Hey, calm down! I don't fall over for just anybody!"
She exclaimed in that rough sense of humor typical for the Wolfriders.

With another soft moan, Christian passed out and lay unconscious at Heartlock's feet.

Heartlock cursed silently in Elvish. Her culture forbid her to leave anyone injured. Even if it was a human. She found a bottle of water in her belt, and there were some herbs growing nearby. She picked them and mixed them in the water, into a kind of tea that could give him some strength.
"Hey, wake up. Drink some of this. Don't make me kill you BEFORE our introduction."

It was uncertain whether Christian had heard Heartlock as he remained quite still for a time.

Heartlock looked down at him. Then she shook his head sceptically.
"This won't do. You're in the wilderness now. In this state, you won't get far before the wild beasts find you and kill you. I could save you the pain...."
She lifted her spear and placed the edge of it gently against his throat.
"Are you sure you don't want to wake up?"
She asked bluntly.
