"Remember what I told you about what happens once a century?"
*She shrugged.*
"Today's the day. Starting about five minutes ago."
*She bit her lip.*
But I wasn't expecting to find you here...

*Tony took off his glasses and blinked, as though he thought she might disappear.*
"Amazing," *he murmured.* "...how did you find me?" *He knelt to begin retrieving the books.* "I was just...researching...trying to find when and where you might come to earth, but...it seems a bit pointless, now you're here."

"I didn't- I don't have a choice of where I go."
*She laughed slightly.*
"What a coincidence, hm?"

"Here, we call it destiny, Teleute," *he said softly, holding her gaze at he pressed a kiss to her hand, but did no more as he got the rest of his books back into his arms.*
"May I escort you...wherever you are going? Did you have any plans?"

"Heh. I call Destiny my brother," *she said with a grin.*
"Nope, no plans. Just drifting through, experiencing what I can."

"In a library in the dead of night?" *Tony grinned and shook his head.* "Come on--I'll drop these off in my room and then I'll show you Oxford."

*She took several off of the top of the pile, then grinned at him.*
"I'd love that."

*Tony was able to tuck the rest of the pile under one arm and sling the other companionably and somewhat protectively about Teleute's shoulders as they walked off together. She seemed...frailer than he remembered her. Perhaps being mortal did things to her...
Alright, so there was no perhaps about it. Though he remembered her as being tall, she now appeared to only just reach his shoulder, and she looked as though she'd lost weight.*

"Don't frown so much," *she said, noticing his concerned expression. She shifted her books so that she was carrying them in one arm, then reached up to ruffle his hair.*

*Tony grinned ecstatically at the blissful sensation of getting a noogie from those little hands he loved so well.*

***NEW DAY***
"...my God," *breathed the boy, looking at the books with awe. This was greater than anything at Manderley.*

*Adrienne was sitting on the floor of the library with books piled up around her, reading a textbook intently, but glanced up when the boy walked in and smiled over at him before looking back down at her book.*

*The boy grinned at the girl and then went to pick a book--but he could no sooner choose a star among the heavens.*

*Liam entered just then, laughing at something a friend from his Art History class had said and brushing snow out of his dark hair. He made conversation with the group, exuberant from the cold air outside.*

*The "boy" grinned happily, seeing Liam, and very nearly ran to him before he remembered who he was. Or who he was supposed to be, anyway. Taking a book from the shelf to hide his glowing face and grin behind behind, "Sionn" lit up like a candle.*
