Norman buttoned his shirt--but not all the way--and put his hand on the door.
"What are we waiting for?"

*She grabbed his hand* "Absolutely nothing." *With that, she wrenched the door open, and tugged him out into the night... *

Norman followed, a manic grin desecrating his face.

**NEW NIGHT**
Amy pulled her cloak around her, knocking on the door. The nightime was no bother for her, but the cold certainly was, and it would be best to find a place to rest during the day.

As the door swung open seemingly of it's own accord, the ghost of Scarlett drifted over, her senses having brought her attention to the girl.
Scarlett had been trying to think of how to warn any potential wanderers about this place, and had hung about as she fretted over it. Seeing Amy, her worry increased and she swooped over, heedless of how the girl would react.
"Oh, miss, no!"
((Up to you if Amy sees ghosts.))

Amy started at the opening of the door- perhaps it had been the wind, but for that scent...
It was the scent of souls. After dining so many times, she'd recognize it anywhere. She was likely not alone.

Damn, the girl didn't see her. Oddly, Scarlett was getting a sense from the newcomer, one that she'd encountered before but couldn't quite place.
She rushed past the girl and into the lobby, heading for a whiteboard behind the counter. In her haste, however, she knocked over a little rotating stand that held postcards.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?"

Damn, she hadn't meant to do that. Quickly, Scarlett grabbed one of the markers by the white board and wrote:
Beware.
It was a lot of effort, unfortunately, and she was forced to pause.

Amy stared in fascination as the letters appeared from nowhere.
"I'm not afraid of you."
Her words weren't entirely true.

Scarlett wondered if it was possible to be even more frustrated with herself.
Trying hard not to drop the marker this time, with agonizing slowness she wrote below that:
Maria. She lives in the walls
Shaking from the effort--this was a lot harder than just making a door breeze open--she dropped the marker again.

By this point, Amy was starting to rethink her choice of destination. But instead of fleeing, she started to run her hands over the walls, trying to understand the message.

"Can I help you?"
The voice came from behind Amy, barely above a whisper with a strange undertone that hinted at sharpness.

Amy whirled around at the sound.
"Do you have any rooms available?"

The dress the woman wore was a plain white affair, almost colonial, her hair pulled back in a severe bun.
"Many. Customers seem sadly rare these days."
