*Kathy laughed.*
"But yours is so much more fun!"

*Sorcha beamed and twisted it a little, her chubby grip not very strong, but she slobbered happily.*

*He removed her hand from his face and gave her another raspberry.*
"I happen to like my nose where it is."

*Sorcha shrieked, then collapsed into giggles. She saw Kathy and stretched out her arms.*
"Gam!"

*Michael chuckled.*
"I think she wants ye, Kath."

"Ach, c'mere, then, ye wee beggar." *She held out her arms, but didn't get up.*
"Put her down, Mikey, I want to see if she'll walk to me..."

*He set Sorcha down on her feet.* "Go on, then."

*Sorcha looked a little angry and betrayed, but ultimately just frustrated as she wanted Kathy but was evidently expected to go under her own steam, now.
"Well, FINE," her grouchy little face seemed to say. Tottering a little on her feet, and only a few steps from Kathy, she took one step, then another, and then never had a chance to get to the third because Kathy had scooped her into a cuddle.*

"She did it! She did it! Mikey, did ye see that?" *she shouted happily.*

*He chuckled and went to sit next to them both.*
"Of course I did; I'm not blind." *He teased Kathy.* "That's my girl."
*He kissed the top of Sorcha's baby head.*

"Dagam!" *she squealed happily, cozied between both her parents.*

*He ruffled her hair affectionately.* "If only we knew what she was saying." *He joked.* "Missus de Winter's brought her Liam to the stables to see the horses a few times... he's nothing on monkey here."

"Is he a sickly child?" *asked Kathy with concern. She'd caught glimpses of the young master, but hadn't been much in company with the de Winters--she knew her place and she was content in it.* "Though our Sorcha would make any child who sat still for two minutes together look peaked."

"Not sickly, just... quiet. He wouldn't leave Aithne's stall until he could say her name right, and then the process repeated with the rest of 'em. I don't think 'e was walkin' yet, though."

"How come he's talking? Why isn't Sorcha talking properly? Is our girl delayed in talking or is he delayed in walking?" ((Srsly. How young mothers interact/are paranoid.))
"Strange...doesn't seem natural."
