"I didn't mean to" he said solemnly "it just happened" looking her square in the eyes he shrugged "kind of pathetic right?"

*She nodded matter-of-factly.*
"Yeah, just a bit."

"I just-" he hiccuped "-feel so left out, you know? I mean I know this is a womans thing, but I rarely get to see your mother and it... kind of hurts." Sighing he tried sitting up, only to fall back down in to a half laying position across the arm.
"I waited a very, very long time for this event in my mind the day I met your mother was the day I wanted to marry her.

*She almost smiled- that would have been sweet, without the slurring.*
"Well, I'm kind of left out here too, you know."

He looked over at her "Oh god, I'm so sorry" if he wouldn't have been drunk he probably would have, attempted to hug her or... something. "There's no one here your age you can talk to?"

*She shrugged.*
"Not really, no. I wouldn't know what to say to them if there were, anyway."

"You're definately mature for your age" seeing that it was a year after Megan disappeared that he proposed and Pina was what five? Now she's like eleven or something, so this wedding has taken six years to plan... wow. "I can imagine it would be hard to be able to find a kid that would be on your level."
He hiccuped again and smiled.

"Actually I was five when she got put in the asylum, was magically 11 when she got out, and now I'm fifteen. ...Time doesn't really work, around me."
*She shrugged.*
"I guess so. Not to mention that they wouldn't want to be around me anyway."

((Well I got it all mixed up, but eh))
"Why do you say that?" He asked, oblivious.

*She gave him a look.*
"Think about it, James."

He thought hard for a second before he had a definite 'aha' moment "Oh the face, thing" he waved his hand at her face, resembling Richard for a moment. "I'm sorry I forget about it sometimes, I guess I just don't see it as weird." Being that I've battled fish men.

"Well, I appreciate that, I guess."
*She offered a smile.*
"You're the minority though," *she said with a shrug.*

((Just try to read everything I write with a slight slur )) "I'm sorry" he slurred "I can't say I understand where you're coming from, because I don't. I just want you to know, that I'm here, and as silly and cliche as that sounds, I mean it okay?"

*She smiled involuntarily.*
"Thanks. That means a lot to me, even if you are drunk as hell."

"Hey I never forget what I say and I mean everything I say" he nodded "and I'm glad, you and your mother mean a lot to me."
He looked toward a window and then turned back to her "Have you met my friend Richard yet?"
