*He thoughtfully touched one of her bites, noting that they'd all stopped bleeding some time before*
"No. It wasn't enough to have that effect. And no worry--if something kills you later, you won't become one of the undead. That only happens if you drank my blood after I'd taken yours."

*Something in his manner made her wonder if this had ever happened to him. This did not make her sympathetic- rather, it increased hr disgust. If he knew what it felt like and did it anyway, he was even crueler than she had suspected.*
"Why me?"

*He shrugged*
"Why anyone? Why not the girl in the other room instead?"
*He leaned in close, to whisper in her ear. His breath was now warm, thanks to Mira's blood in his system*

***NEW NIGHT***
*Asako waited patiently for the purveyor. The room was dark and a bit cramped, but it would do. It wasn't as if she would be spending much time there. It was business and nothing more. Perhaps after tonight, she would not have to return. One could hope anyways. Such drugs were a powerful tool, but only on those that one wished to control. And there would be no one in this strange city that controlled her. Of that she was certain. Two of her men flanked her, just as stoic as she was.*
