*Scarlett snuck out of her room and around the apartment, carefully avoiding her parents as she gathered books and food for her room.*

Teddy saw Scarlett sneaking around and smirked. "I thought you were in time-out," he said mockingly.

*She spun around in surprise.* Oh, it's you. Shut up. *She turned back around and tried to grab a book off a high shelf by jumping up and down quietly. Unfortunately, she was a bit too short and still couldn't reach it.*

He laughed, amused by her failed attempt. "You know, I really appreciate you forcing me out of the closet. I was going to tell them after things had gotten more serious with Xavier, but now it's already done! Ah, well, the sooner the better, right?" he said venomously, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

That's right, Teddy! And I'm so glad you've been so honest with me. No secrets between siblings and all that. *Her voice was mock-cheerful, her face covered in a huge, fake smile.* I'm so glad that you were too cowardly to tell me that the guy I'm in love with is married. It might have saved me some embarassment if you had told me privately, and God knows we wouldn't want that!

"Of course! Please, forgive me for worrying about your feelings! Considering the way you treat me, I had no reason!"

I'm just glad I have Penn and Fabian to be my braver brothers. If you're too afraid to tell me about a letter, who knows how you would react if someone tried to attack you, or me, or Mom?

"That's different! This was about your heart, not your life! You had no right to tell Mom and Dad about Xavier!"

I would say that this is more about your heart as well. And you had no right to withhold information about Maxim from me. *She went back to her attempts to get the book from the top of the shelf.*

"I know that now, and I'm sorry, but you still had no right to do that to me!"

*She stopped jumping and looked around at him angrily.* Stop whining. You came out of this great, didn't you? Mom and Dad adore and support you, they want to meet your crush, and they are completely with you when it comes to being angry with me. You aren't stuck in your room being hated on all sides. So just stop it. *She began to climb up the shelf.*

Well, you at least hate me, and you keep judging me with your eyes. Haven't you ever heard of 'an eye for an eye' or whatever? *She managed to reach the top and grab the book.*

"That wasn't an eye for an eye, that was an accidental punch in the face for an eye!"

It was fair enough, Teddy. You keep something vital from me and force me to find out from and react in front of Mom? I tell your little secret. It makes both of us miserable and horribly embarassed, which is, like I said, fair. *She tried to climb down but fell backwards off the shelf, landing on the floor with a dull thud.*
