Teddy was lying flat on his belly, sketching what was supposed to be his family on a piece of paper.

*Scarlett was busy playing with her dolls and ignoring her brothers.*

Teddy got up and tottled over to his sister. "Whatcha doin'?" he asked, sitting down beside her.

*She didn't even look over at him, although Teddy was her favorite brother. Penn and Fabian were just too loud and silly.* Playin' with my dolls, goofus.
((Yes, goofus. Not dufus. Not goof. Goofus.))

*She thought about for a minute, then finally held one out to him.* Fine. Only- you have to be careful, 'cuz they break real easy. Stupid Penn and Fabian. They're such goofuses.

He nodded and took the doll gratefully. "What should we play?" he asked.

Princes and princesses.

He nodded. "I'm the prince, right?" This was, of course, a rather stupid question, and that was why Teddy's family assumed that he was none too bright. He rarely talked for more than two sentences at a time, and when he did, he never had much to say. He'd been the last of the quads to say their first words, and he just didn't seem to be doing things as advancedly as his siblings.
Of course, what his family didn't know was that Teddy had an imagination that could rival Lewis Carrol's, and a love of music as strong as Erik's. But he never let these things on—he was too quiet.

"'Kay." He looked down at the doll. "The princess is being attacked by a dark knight," he said. "The prince comes to save her."

"I know. That's what we're gonna do. How we s'posed to play if we don't know what we're doing?"
