"I like my shop the way it is, my dear boy," *the angel said defensively.* "Besides, I'd never remember to water any plants."

He smirked. "I could always take care of them. It'd give me an excuse to come over every day."

*He gave Crowley a scolding look.*
"I know what you do to those plants of yours, Crowley."

A metaphorical halo appeared over Crowley's head. "I'm just trying to help God's creations grow and thrive," he said, mocking pretty much every angel that ever existed.

*Aziraphale let out a very undignified and unangelic snort.*

Crowley snickered. "You'd be surprised how many people use excuses like that to do brutal things. Well, not just people. Angels, too. And even God, especially before He sent His Son down. I think that may have softened Him up a bit, though," he mused.

*He grimaced a bit.*
"You know, those two were never very pleasant..."

"My point exactly. They were unpleasant. Homicidal, in fact, yet somehow they made it into the Bible. Was that for the good of mankind—or good at all, for that matter?"

"But the people there were out of control!" *He said, sounding rather pathetic, and he knew it.*

He raised an eyebrow. "Of course they were. Everyone knows that inhospitality is a Deadly Sin."

*He frowned. He saw the reason in Crowley's argument. He didn't like it- he was questioning what he'd been created not to.*
"Well, no, but-"
