*Sylvia entered her new room once she returned from the Magic Box and set down her purse. She unpinned her hat and put it away. She wondered if this would work, if Mondego would understand that she was trying...hopefully he wouldn't be too cross. She couldn't bear the thought of being weakened by him again, not with the risks it entailed. At least if he was solid, he wouldn't be doing any more of that. She wasn't quite sure how she would find him again, but she figured she would change and head back to the other room. It seemed like a good place to start. She loosened the dress and let it slip over her shoulders. She hung it carefully and pulled out a lighter dress, laying it out on the bed as she turned back to the wardrobe to find the matching shoes.*

*Mondego was leaning against the wardrobe. He truly enjoyed just watching Sylvia. She had this beauty about her that was unrivaled in his world ... or what use to be his world.*
"Hello, Sylvia."
*Mondego tried his best to be seen. He concentrated on appearing whole. He had never really tried this and was thinking that he might be able to appear anything but invisible.*
"How are you feeling today?"

*Sylvia jumped at the voice behind her, causing her to bump her head roughly against the shelf of the wardrobe. She winced and leaned back, although she realized as she did that it was quite foolish, since if it was Mondego, there would be nothing to see. She was quite suprised to see a face and chunk of transparent torso floating next to the wardrobe. She gasped and fell back, hand flying to her lips.*
Oh my! I...I hope I didn't hit my head that hard.
*She lowered her hand slowly, unable to blink or avert her gaze. Her voice was timid.*
"Count? I..."
*Suddenly realizing her nudity, save the corset, she quickly curled up, her arms across her chest.*
"I...I wasn't expecting you..."
Obviously.

I must seem frightful. Maybe I didn't completely appear to her.
*Mondego shifted back to his normal form ... invisible.*
"My apologies. I didn't mean to startle you too much. I just came to see how things were progressing."
*Mondego smiled at her attempt to hide her nudity. Did she not realize he could watch her whenever he chose?*

*As he vanished again, Sylvia finally freed her gaze and looked away for a moment. Then she pushed off the floor and stood, quickly grabbing her robe and slipping it over herself. Calmer she spoke without trying to figure out which direction to address him.*
"I...there are some complications, but I may have found something...at least for the meantime. Until I can find a better solution."
*She lowered her lashes.*
"If you would be agreeable enough to such things for the time being."

"Complications? What kind of complications?"
*Mondego felt a trap. He could be wrong but complications never turn out right.*

*Sylvia shrugged.*
"Apparently resurrection is tricky business, but I have set the process in motion. It will just take some time to get what I need to help you."
*She picked up her purse and pulled out the elixir bottle.*
"In the meantime...this will make you solid again."

"Solid, but not alive."
*Mondego shrugged.*
"How long will this last?"

*Sylvia pursed her lips. At least she wouldn't have to break the news. She swallowed cautiously and turned back to the seemingly empty room.*
"Forty-eight hours."
*She tried to look confident. If he was going to be enraged, he might as well do it and get it over with. No reason to hide things from him. It would be worse for her when it wore off.*
"But I can get you more...if it would please you until I am able to find a more permanent solution."

Forty-eight hours? That's it?
As long as there's hope, I can't break her too much.
*Mondego approached Sylvia and slid his hand inside her belly. He started to slowly lower his hand through her.*
"Forty-eight hours is not long enough, but it will do for now. When you have a permanent solution, I promise, the torture will end. If you cannot find a way back to life then I will break you and bring out your other half."
*Mondego's hand slid out of her in a most awkward spot.*

*Sylvia gasped at the violation and tried to back away from him, holding out the bottle in front of her.*
"I know. Just...here."
*She prayed he would take it. It would be better to have him solid. That way he couldn't violate her so easily.*

*Mondego really did enjoy torturing her. He felt justified. She did kill him.*
"Thank you for the bottle."
*Mondego reached up and took the bottle from her. She saw it disappear in his coat pocket.*
"I will use this when I feel I need it the most. For now, have a good day. Don't worry, I am watching you."

*Sylvia looked confused. She assumed that he would want to be solid again immediately. She pursed her lips, speaking cautiously.*
"Sir...did you want me to get you more then?"

*Mondego paused as he was walking out of the room.*
"Of course. Forty-eight is just two days, that's hardly enough."

*Sylvia sighed. That sealed it. At least he wouldn't weaken her too badly, not while she was his only means of salvation. But she would need a better source of money than working as a nurse.*
