"You always have a choice. You can cease visiting these dreams, or you can work for me. I offer you a home in the dreaming and employment. You would be able to move freely through The Dreaming and torment as many dreamers as I see fit."

"How about outside dreams? You don't have any control there, do you?"
*Mondego was very surprised. He expected to be on the short end of the stick.*

"I have a certain... influence, yes, but you would be confined to dreams."

Possessions and dreams. I want both. Is it worth it?
"Let me think on it. If you find me in the dream world again, then I agree to the deal. If I don't return then I have rejected your deal. Fair enough?"

**AS MORPHEUS**
"Very well. I will leave you to your... business then."
*He disappeared and went to take care of some other matters.*

I suppose that means I can finish here.
*Mondego sighed and then continued where he left off. He added some more massaging oil and continued to work the muscles that seemed most tense.*
"I must apologize for the rude intrusion. It seems even kings lack manners these days. He did leave me with some interesting possibilities. I'm sure you heard and are even now fearing the outcome."
*Mondego brushed some hair from Sylvia's face and leaned in close.*
"I can haunt your dreams every night, for good or ill. Or, I could haunt your days and those around you. You can give me advice if you want. Go ahead. Nothing? Oh well, I suppose that leaves it up to me."
*Mondego wiped away a tear from her face.*
"You really should relax. Tonight I give you peace."

*Sylvia's stomach turned at the options Mondego was suggesting. Her eyes widened in terror and more tears fell, staining the pillow she rested on.*
Please...just stop...can't you just go...please...

((Question: can other ghosts come into her dreams, too?))

((I wouldn't see why not. Especially if they already know her. I think she has some sort of spiritual immunity disorder due to Elisabeta.))

*Mondego spent hours with Sylvia. It turned into a long night for Sylvia and something pleasant for Mondego.*
*Not only did he massage her but he tried to feed her, even though she refused and spit out what was given. He brushed her hair and bathed her. He felt like a puppet master with his toy, a toy that cried all night.*
Why can't she just realize that this is a dream? There is no harm in enjoying yourself in the company of another in a dream. She might even grow to like sleeping.
*Even in the dream Sylvia was exhausted. She just didn't get it. Mondego finally had enough and had plenty of time to make his decision. He wouldn't let Morpheus know just yet though.*
*Mondego leaned in close and kissed Sylvia with a little passion on her lips, her tears mixing with the moisture on his lips. He then leaned into her and whispered into her ear.*
"I hope you have enjoyed this evening as much as I have. It will be a pleasure to spend this time with you again. Next time, don't be so frightened, I think you might really enjoy this.
Good night, Sylvia."
*Mondego broke her neck and killed her.*

*Sylvia woke up with a start, letting out a sharp cry as she came to. Her hand flew instinctively to her throat. She felt the cruel metal of the shackle.*
Hmm...apparently it works better on vampires than ghosts...and whatever that other thing was.
*She took several deep breaths to calm herself and wiped the tears from her cheeks bitterly.*
