*Dracula turned away from Sylvia and walked over to a chair on which he sat down.*
"Like I said in the storage room, I came to talk to you, to clarify some things that have been haunting me."
*Dracula smiled at his choice of words.*
"I can be civil, Sylvia, I can even be pleasant to those whom I care for."

*Sylvia turned to face him with a bitter smile.*
"Then I guess it's in my best interest to keep your wife around then. Wouldn't want to lose the only thing that will keep you civil in my presence."
*She pursed her lips.*
"Although I seem to remember you not always being so kind...what has you so...out of sorts?"

*Dracula narrowed his eyes but did not show any other sign of emotion.*
"One does get tired of acting like an ogre all the time. I am afraid situations sometimes bring out the worst in me."

*Sylvia looked perplexed.*
"Sir, one night of kindness does will not win my sympathy. You have done much to hurt me. Surely you don't expect my to forget such things."
It didn't work for Mondego either.

"I do not seek your sympathy, nor your forgiveness. I simply do not want you to feel obligated to threaten me and yourself with sharp objects every time we meet."
*Dracula said with the smallest hint of a grin around the corners of his mouth.*
"If you do not want me to help you with this ghost, I won't. Unless of course my wife asks me to."

*Sylvia lowered her eyes shyly. As much as she hated the thought...she did need the help. Dracula didn't need to know that Mondego was torturing her at the behest of his wife, to make her own personality weaker. She pursed her lips and held her hand out to him as if to stay him.*
"No, wait. I didn't mean...to be hasty."
*She looked up to him timidly.*
"You can really help me? You would?"
*Her gaze narrowed shrewdly.*
"What would you ask in return?"

"You could help and as for a repayment, there's the obvious thing I would want."
*He actually started to smirk.*
"But I don't think that's very realistic of me. No, I'll think of something else. Perhaps a night with my wife, without your interference. And without whatever trick you use to keep her away from me in your dreams."

*Sylvia's brow furrowed. It wasn't as if this was unexpected.*
"With your wife...in my dreams or..."
*She lowered her gaze.*
"How could I know that you wouldn't do something...to assure it was more than one night?"

"Real life would be better."
"If you do not think my word is enough, I could give you something that is very valuable to me and you could use it as leverage."
*Dracula shifted on the chair and looked up at Sylvia's face.*

*Fair enough, Sylvia was intrigued. She looked at him suspiciously.*
"And what could you possibly offer to ensure such a thing? Anything you could give me would be in her possession by default."

"Not if you gave it to your doctor for save keeping."
*Dracula answered her suspicious look with one of complete honesty.*
"Like you could not foul me into believing you are my wife, I am sure my wife can not fool your doctor."

*Sylvia sucked her lip.*
All right, I'll play.
"What is this that I could give to..."
*She swallowed.*
"...to someone else for safe keeping?"

*Dracula pulled a small jar puch filled with dirt from his pocket and threw it at Sylvia.*

*Sylvia caught it deftly, looking very confused. Her confusion grew as she looked inside and saw the dirt.*
"Dirt. This is a jar bag of dirt."
*She looked back up to him.*
"Is the jar bag of dirt going to help?"

*Dracula smiled an all knowing smile ((huh?)) and leaned forward.*
"If ya you don't want it. Give it back."
"I wouldn't carry around a jar bag of dirt if it wasn't important."
