*Sylvia pulled away slowly, cradling his face in her hands, trying in vain to read his eyes.*
"Thank you, my love."
*Her lashes fluttered for a moment in the memory of it but she refixed her gaze on his. She pursed her lips, concern etching her brow slightly.*
"Are you...are you all right?"

*Sylvia stroked his face gently and kissed him softly. Her voice was soothing.*
"I didn't mean to hurt you. Please forgive me. I am eternally grateful for what you did. It had to be done. And I would never have trusted another man to do it. I only want you, Jonathan. I just...I needed to be strong again, to be in control. Even when I couldn't be. Your act gave me strength."

*Sylvia lowered her eyes ashamed.*
"I am so sorry, Jonathan. Please forgive me for asking so much of you. I just didn't know what else to do. I felt like I was loosing myself...going mad..."
*She traced the back of his hand with her fingertips as she stared at it, not able to lift her face to his.*
