"You don't seem like the type to let life bow you for long," *Darcy said dryly, crossing his legs.*

"Indeed--I have learned to carry on. Life is for living--not dwelling on memories. Of course now I am able to devote my time wholly to my accomplishments."

*Charles looked up at that and wondered aloud.*
"Whatever does it mean, 'accomplishments?' I've never heard a lady introduced without it first being said that she was accomplished." *He mused.*

*Darcy raised an eyebrow.*
"Indeed. And what, pray tell, Madam, do you list among yours?"

((OMG THREADNOMANCY. ...hey Bingley...Imogen could go after YOUR money and kill you lose you to tragedy, next. )) Imogen summoned an artful blush. "Really, sir, I do not know that modest delicacy may permit me to go into any detail concerning myself...but such accomplishments as fashionable young women generally pursue are well within my capabilities--languages, of course, I have traveled extensively--genteel fancy-work, to occupy the longer hours indoors, whatever else use it may be...and I dearly love music and the theatre. Do you enjoy the theatre yourselves, monsieurs?"

((Ahh, but I'm in Canada!!))
Darcy did not think especially highly of ladies--or gentlemen, for that matter--who tended to describe themselves as "fashionable" or similar. It spoke of a want of propriety, and not the want that "fashionable" young people saw in those who took their own initiative. Fashionable people strove only to be acceptable to others of their ilk. Darcy had little patience for such airs.
"Not especially," Darcy said shortly, not exactly rude but hardly inviting.
