"Treszka. It's Hungarian for Theresa. But it's cooler than Theresa, I think."
*She said with pride--she liked her name*

"Hmph. Cool."
*He waited for her to reach his branch.*
"I'm Matthew. Just Matthew."

*She stopped under the branch, looking up at the raven*
"Heyyy...the Hungarian version of your name is Máté."
((And yes, it really is))

"Máté, huh?" *He puffed out his feathers, then swooped down to land on her shoulder again.* "Think I should start going by that?"

"I'd call you Máté. Sounds more cool than regular Matthew."
*She didn't mind the raven on her shoulder. She thought it made her look cool to have a bird there*

*He let out a laugh that sounded more like a squawk.*
"Yeah, we'll see about that."
*They eventually came to the castle steps, huge and gaurded by a griffon, a wyvern, and a pegasus.*

*Her mouth dropped open at the sight of the creatures. It was like something out of one of her books that she liked to read so much. For a moment, she stood very still, hardly daring to breathe*
"Uh...hi." She said weakly.

*The wyvern moved it's long majestic neck until it was facing the girl and the bird. Addressing Matthew, it spoke.*
"What is the meaning of this, raven?" *it asked, its tone threatening.* "Who is this girl?"
"She wants an audience with the boss," *he replied, matter-of-factly.* "She's Death's kid. Not his sister, but some German guy."
*The wyvern's expression didn't- or couldn't change.* "I will alert his majesty." *The snakelike neck retreated and after a few moments, the griffon spoke.*
"He will allow you an audience, child of death," *he said.* "Do not stray from the path."
*Matthew shifted on her shoulder.*
"Up we go, then."

"Th-thanks."
*Being VERY careful, she followed the way, making sure she didn't go an inch off the path in any wrong direction. She had no idea where she was and she didn't want to find out what happened when you got in trouble here.*

"Don't worry, kid, I know my way around," *he said.* "Unless, ya know, he's moved the throne room since I left."

"Has he done that before?"
*She had the strangest mental image of someone bodily lifting a throne room and carrying it...*

"One time he did it four times in a day," *the bird said, rolling his eyes.* "But, nah, it should be just around the corner here..."
*They turned the corner and came to two large, ornately designed doors.*
"That's the one."

*It was damned impressive, and she couldn't really think of a witty comment to make on it. Instead, she knocked on the doors*

*The door swung open, seemingly of its own accord. At the far side of the majestic room, was Dream's throne.
Instead of flying over to his master, as he usually would have, Matthew remained perched on Treszka's shoulder.*
"Good luck, kid,"
*Dream watched the two of them as they approached, but waited until Treszka was closer until speaking.*
"Greetings, child of Death."

*The entire situation was rather overwhelming, but Treszka kept her chin up as she stood before this dream person...thing.*
"Um...Treszka. Not r-really death."
