Oxford. *She met his gaze defiantly.*

**LATER**
*Enjolras trudged into the house and in the direction of his bedroom.*

Grantaire ran himself a bath in his room in an attempt to sober himself up. He shaved again--which wasn't perhaps the brightest move when one was still at least a little intoxicated--and dressed in the fine trousers and shirt Morangias had bought him. The trousers were alittle dirtied from his fall, but otherwise his clothes were clean.
Damp hair brushed back and somewhat presentable, he brazenly pushed into Enjolras' room (after brazenly pushing into a few others first, unsure of which was which).

*But Enjolras was asleep, bare limbs flung across the bed.*

The wind went out of the little man and he sighed, padded quietly over to the bed, and sat.
"I am sorry, you know." he muttered, mostly to himself, and sat watching the other man. He reached out and combed a hand through his hair, hurting.

*Enjolras muttered something unintelligible in his sleep. One of his cheeks was squished against the pillow and it made his whole face look kind of skewed. He shifted and pulled the arm which had been injured--there were still stitches--back in towards him.*

Grantaire bent over him to exaime the wounds he'd caused, made sure they were clean and well maintained, then traced his fingers lightly beside them.
He frowned, and wanted to leave again, but didn't want Enjolras to go through any more trouble for his worthless ass.
"What do I do, Fearless?" He sighed.

*As if responding to his old nickname, he began muttering things in his sleep, things like 'we'll build it at Corinthe' and 'need more guns, Combeferre'.*

Grantaire smirked a little and bent to the man's ear. Everyone had called him "Fearless Leader" but only Grantaire had called him
"Apollo."

"Put the bottle down, Grantaire." *He muttered, and frowned grumpily.*

"I'm not drunk. And the barricades are long gone. And I love you." He whispered.

"This is not the moment to pronounce the word love. No matter, I pronounce it, and I glorify it. Love, thine is the future. Death, I use thee, but I hate thee." *He murmured, sighing at the end as if he knew that his words had done nothing much in the end.*

Grantaire laughed now, sharp and loud.
"Love is thine future. Was. Not mine, Vincent."

*Enjolras started a little at the noise, but soon settled back and started talking again.*
"Bella..." *He said, somewhat wistfully.* "Not coming back..."
*A letter was curled in his hand, one that he'd received just before leaving the house. It was Bella's solicitor, writing to say that they were now formally estranged. He supposed he deserved it.*

Oh right--christ, how could he have forgotten the man's marriage!
"Damnit..." He felt doubly worse--and wasn't one to read personal letters he had no business with so the paper went unmolested.
"Terribly sorry...I never should have done or said anything--stupid of me." Enjolras seemed alittle easier to talk to when he was unconcious.
