"Camping? Cool! It's been a few years since I've done that."
*She shrugged.*
"All us kids with jobs and stuff--it's been hard to get together for family vacations."

*Genghis looked at her blankly for a moment.*
"Indeed."
*He shifted his gaze slightly.*
"Does that mean that you consent?"

"Of course! Want me to bring anything?"
*She stacked the last of the clean dishes in the drying rack and dried her hands on the apron she always seemed to be wearing these days.*

*Genghis brow furrowed slightly at the question. His answer was low.*
"Nothing else will be necessary. I would hope that I am able to entertain you on my own merits."
*His expression smoothed.*
"When would you be available?"

*Emily bit her lip.*
"Just give me a minute and I'll find out..."
*She ducked into the pantry, and banged about in there for a bit before she re-emerged.*
"Now would be fine. I installed a deep freeze and generator in the back where no one would find it and I've got some casseroles in there that should last a while."
*She untied her apron and slipped it off over her head, hanging it on a nail on the back of the door and replacing it with her black leather jacket that hung beside it before she shoved her hands in her pockets.*
"Lead the way, Mister Khan."

*Genghis was a bit surprised by her ability to adapt and her willingness to shift plans. It was a quality he admired very much. He nodded once.*
"Of course. This way."

***NEW DAY***
*Back at work, Emily plugged in her iPod, dancing around the kitchen as a matter of habit as she cut up vegetables to make soup.*
"Girl-- you know that there's one thing that I love; but it's not you I'm thinkin' of...I want the Ultimate Cheeseburger!
Cheese, meat, cheese, cheese, meat and that's it! Baby, you know it's hot and juicy, 'cause Jack won't make it 'till you order it! I'm not lyin', it's a giant, meant to satisfy. I'm sure you'd understand better it if you ate more like a guy. Maybe someday I'll want you back, but until then, baby, please, let me go, to have meat and cheeese..."

*Dracula appeared in the doorway and stared a bit surprised at the girl who obviously meant something to his father.*
She is pretty to look at.

*Chopping carrots, she stood with her back to the door.*
"What is it, Klaus?" *she murmured, glancing at the chickens, who roamed the kitchen freely. They were both cowering behind a sack of cornmeal, and Klaus was making a strangled noise.*

A bit of a ditz.
*Dracula cleared his throat.*
Hello puppet "Good evening."

((Shut up I am not!))
*Emily turned around.*
"The entrance is around front--" *her voice died as she saw who it was, and her grip on her knife tightened.*
"Sylvia's not here."

((Didn't you hear the audience yell "OH MY GOD LOOK BEHIND YOU IT's THE RAPE MONSTER?))
"I know, but then again, I wasn't looking for Sylvia."
*Evil look of foreshadowing.*

((We have no audience and she's got her iPod on. Only the chickens can sense approaching doom.))
*Emily held out the knife defensively.*
"What do you want?"
Think! What did you learn in Vampire Class? Never look them directly in the eye! Cut off the head, stake the heart, burn both and cast the ashes into the river...or was it bury it at a crossroads? Damnit, this is going to be very labour-intensive.

((She's busy fangirling over Satan.))
"I'd like you to put that knife down, but I have this feeling that you won't do that."
*Dracula smiled and stepped closer to Emily.*
"You know, there aren't many women who seem to mean something to my father."
