*Aimery did his ritual visit, smiling hopefully at Brandi and awaiting new on Faith. He hoped so dearly that she was feeling better. He worried for her so. Even if she couldn't understand why. But this time Brandi invited him in and poured tea before politely excusing herself and seeking Cry-Baby. He sat patiently. Confused, but patiently and drinking his tea.*

*Faith appeared in the doorway and paused, her hand resting delicately upon the doorframe.*
"...hello, Aimery," *she said, smiling cautiously, gently and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.*

*Aimery nearly choked on his tea in surprise, scrambling to stand before he turned and gave her a polite bow. He may be mute, but there was no way to mistake the joy in his eyes and smile at seeing her. He gestured that she might sit with him. There was tea. He smiled hopefully.*

*Faith's smile blossomed further and she shyly took her place across from him at the table, pouring a cup of tea.*
"I...I wondered if I would see you, today."

*Brandi smiled as she passed the door on her way to Cry-Baby's side.*
"Sorry about that, Baby."
*She gave him a playful bump with her hip.*
"Was there something I could do for you?"

"Nothin' specific," *he said, smiling at her.* "You're quite the little innkeeper."

*Brandi scrunched her nose at him.*
"Oh yes, my parents would be quite proud, I'm sure. Two degrees and I'm serving tea."
*She rolled her eyes with a sigh.*
"How about you? Have a good day?"

"Don't forget, shackin' up with a JD," *he said, playfully swatting her bum. Now it was his turn to sigh.*
"Fought that guy again. The one after the green girl? Only she ain't green anymore."
*He shook his head.*
"Opera people are weird."

*Brandi frowned. She knew he liked a good scuffle, but she wasn't thrilled that this girl was taking up so much of his time and energy. She arched a brow at him.*
"Not green anymore? The girl got a name? Because my sueauthor can't remember if you told me."

"Malefica," *he said with limited difficulty. He poked Brandi's nose.* "You ain't got nothin' to worry about, baby. Just makin' conversation."

"With your fists?"
*She lowered her face knowingly, but her brow arched in good humor.*
"Don't suppose you at least won the fight, did you? Because then I guess I'd have to be all right with it..."

*Cry-Baby grinned.*
"'Course I won," *he said. He always won. Lately. It felt good--stretching his muscles, testing his strength.*
"So what's the news here?"

*Brandi shrugged, glancing at the kitchen door.*
"Just you're average 'boy loves girl, girl loves boy but doesn't remember him'. You know...."
*She gave him a playful kiss and started upstairs.*

*Cry-Baby raised an eyebrow.*
"You sure know how to bring 'em in," *he said, following an appreciate distance behind.*

"I do what I can."
*She stopped, letting him catch up and wiggling her backside firmly against him.*
"Of course, it's nice to have a strong man behind me. One that knows how to..."
*She gave him a playful bounce of her brow.*
"...look after me."
And now she won't be needing you half so much.
