James slowly pushed up, turning Megan toward the wall, his hands holding her with a slight bit of force; he pulled back for a moment and stared in to her eyes.

"He isn't" James lifted off of her and went to all of the windows and closed the shades, turned up all the lamps in the room and threw a couple more logs on the fire. "There are no grates in the floor, unless he's in the ceiling." He looked up and started poking the ceiling with the fire poker comically.

He stood up again and poured another glass of rum not replying immediately "If I die, then I die for someone that means something to me." He drank it quickly and placed the glass softly on the table "Can't you believe that someone would risk their own life for you?"
