*Lucy had been struck speechless by the appearance of the ghost, and then, as a secondary reaction, at how attractive he was.*
"Cor blimey," she muttered under her breath. "Are all men 'round 'ere a sight for sore eyes?"
*Before she could mutter more, she simply smiled to Shakespeare and took another bite of mutton*

"No manner of man, common or no, are you!" *Richard insisted, gesturing now with his knife as he rose from his seat and backed into the wall. He glanced wildly at Mira.* "And you, do you consort with this manifestation? A witch you must be, to stand the devil's influence!"

*Mira couldn't help rolling her eyes. He'll drown his own brother in a vat of wine, but show him a ghost and suddenly he's self-righteous*
"Hey, talk to him or don't. It doesn't effect me."
*She got up and reached for her coat*

*William sighed and nodded to both girls.*
"Well, if I'm not wanted, I'll be upstairs. Both of you are welcome."
*He grinned mischievously and tilted his head in the direction of the stairs.*

*Why was everyone leaving, and yet not running in abject terror from the ghost? What was going on?*
"Cease this babble, and talk sense!" *he demanded of the room at large.*

*Mira sighed and turned back*
"Ghosts are rather common in Paris. They're nothing to be concerned about. If he was a vampire, I would be running from the room while screaming, but he's entirely harmless."

"I wouldn't mind runnin' after 'im if you want 'im back 'ere."
And maybe more than just running after him...

"Vampires? Zounds, woman, what devil hath taken charge of Paris? And can no man explain to me what these signs portend? Yes, Lucy, get him back here; I demand to know what he means, walking out on my questions, spirit or no."

"Right!" Gulping down one last bite of mutton (the best meal she'd had in ages, really) Lucy followed Shakespeare upstairs.
"'ey, sir! A moment, please?"

"Yeah, that was my first reaction when I came here. You get used to it."

*Will turned back to look at the pretty young thing following him. He offered a winning smile.*
"And yet, I am pleasantly surprised. Care to come up with me?"
*He glanced to the top of the stairs invitingly.*

*Grinny broadly as she caught up to him, Lucy nodded*
"Would love to, guv. We can 'ave a chat."

*Will grinned right back at her.*
"That would be just the thing."
*He led her the rest of the way up the stairs and into his room. Well, to his room. He was having some issues with opening the door for her. He could only manage to rattle the handle.*

*Mira saw Shakespeare and Lucy headed upstairs*
"Maybe you'll have to find a time when he's not..."
*Realization sunk in on her*
"That's just wrong."
