Sisi and Anne stumbled in through the front door, passionately kissing, undoing the buttons of one another's bodices, hair disshevelled, and hurried upstairs in similar alignment without a single glance at Richard.
Richard was silent for a very long time.

Richard was still sitting at the table.
It was a long time before he finally ventured to say, "Who was that?"

*Anne turned to look at Richard curiously. Her hair was an absolute mess but she looked very relaxed.*

*Anne set down her cup on the counter hard enough to cause the hot tea to slosh out the side.*
"Honestly, WHAT is your problem?"

"It's not the fact that it was a woman... it was YOU and a woman."

"Because I've been ALONE for the past four centuries!"

"That is an exaggeration and you know it!" Richard shouted. "It cannot possibly have been more than seventy or eighty years-"
He blanched suddenly.
"That did not help my case, did it?"

*Her lip was trembling, and she hated that, so she bit it. Hard.*
"I waited for y--for a long time."
