*A note was sent, unsigned, to the Mors residence.*
Ashur--come quickly, I need you.
*Scrawled below was the address of a palatial mansion on the outskirts of the city.*

*Ashur smiled as he read the note. His sister had been out all morning with Mother. Father seemed to think that it would help them acclimate to society if they spent brief periods apart. It was painful, but bearable. Apparently for Andraste too. He couldn’t feel her mind when they were so far apart, but the note was a welcome distraction that he was desperately needed. He wasn’t familiar with the address, but he knew the general area. Ashur wondered if there might be an empty room or spare broom closet there that he might properly comfort Andraste and take away her loneliness.*
*He held the note to his face, trying to find a hint of her smell left on it, but it was fruitless. It had been away from her for too long, no doubt. He was halfway out the door when he realized he forgot his coat and went back to grab it hurriedly. Bidding his father a good afternoon, he headed out again. Then he jogged out onto the avenue, quickly maneuvering to the mansion with the address.*
*Ashur was surprised that he couldn’t sense her yet, not even a hint of her. Perhaps she was deep inside the house. He tried the door and found it unlocked. Smiling, he entered, looking around for any sign of life.*

*Thatcher calmly, silently stepped out of the shadows and jabbed the needle into the boy's neck, injecting him with a tranquilizer.* The weaker...always the weaker... *He held up the younger man's slack form as he drugs took effect, carting him to a sparsely furnished room and binding him with strong leather straps to a chaise before stepping back with a grin, leaving the room to dispatch the ransom note to the Mors residence.*

*Ashur swallowed, finding a strange taste in his mouth. He couldn’t open his eyes and there was a pain in his neck. Even in the darkness, he’s mind cleared for a moment as he thought of one thing. Andraste! Was she all right? Was she trapped too? He struggled against the restraints but his limbs felt very heavy. Ashur finally managed to open his eyes and the room spun in and out of focus. He couldn’t tell much about it.*

*Thatcher re-entered the room, smiling.* "Ah! My guest is awake...how are you feeling?"

*Ashur tried to turn to see who the voice belonged to but didn’t manage well. His face was a mask of defiance. He glared at the ceiling. His voice was cool.*
“Somehow I doubt that you care about my well-being at this moment. What is the meaning of this?”

"You've nothing to fear, my boy," *he said.* "You'll leave only bearing the marks you came in with. I'll not harm you.*

*Ashur ground his jaw.*
“And I am supposed to believe the man that would bind me to keep me here against my will?”

"Whether you believe me or not is your own affair..." *said Thatcher, easily filling a syringe with more sedatives. He made a tourniquet on Ashur's arm and swiftly injected the drugs into his veins.* "In the meantime," *he said smoothly,* "I've provided you with entertainment." *Putting away the syringe and bottle of narcotics, he went to the door and ushered in a young blonde woman, a whore who owed Thatcher money, or favours, or both. She glanced once at Ashur and recoiled slightly, but Thatcher stayed her with one powerful hand gripping her shoulder.* "Recall your debt and duty," *he hissed at her. She swallowed and nodded, shaking slightly as she walked over to the chaise and began to unfasten the buttons on Ashur's clothing, her hands trembling as her eyes avoided his twisted flesh.*

*Ashur burned with rage as the man approached him and pumped him full of more drugs. He strained against the bonds. And for once, he managed to pull his head up to see his captor. Even through the haze the drugs kept him, he stared angrily, desperate to memorize the face that he would see cold and dead as soon as he was free of these bonds.*
*As the man walked away again, his words haunted Ashur. He strained to survey his surroundings. Slowly another figure came into view. At first he thought it was Andraste, golden hair glimmering, but as she got closer, she became unfamiliar. Ashur’s brow furrowed deeply. And she started to unbutton his clothing; he began to writhe to avoid her touch. He bared his teeth primal and enraged. His words were venomous.*
“Get away from me! Don’t touch me!”
*He spit at her violently. The bonds dug into his flesh as he pulled hard against them. Even as he did so, his body was quickly becoming heavier and he fought to stay conscious.*

((Nope. Just some poor wretch under Thatcher's thumb.))
*Thatcher grinned and closed the door behind him, even as Ashur's bellowing echoed throughout the house. The girl would do her job well, he knew. Ashur's screams gradually ceased--whether due to the drugs or the placation of the girl's attentions, Thatcher didn't know or care. Everything was going according to his plan.*
