*Francis descended the stairs midway.*
She'll never be save from him, not with me. Ooh Irene, did we not make a mistake?
*Francis was startled by his butler, who cleared his throat.*
"You have a guest, sir."
*Francis looked up angry at the man and nodded.*
"Who is it?"

"An old friend."
*Maria said with so much hostility that it was a miracle that the butler did not seem to notice it. He left after his master had ordered him to go and now Maria was left alone with that monster.*
"I should have killed you last time, I would if were not for that pretty girlfriend of yours."
*Silently she loaded the crossbow behind her back even though it would be highly unlikely that this could actually work, but whatever.*
"I warned her, sadly she didn't listen and now she is married to you. A monster."
*Maria stared in disgust as Francis said nothing but only slowly walked down the stairs.*
"What? No protests? You are not going to try and convince me that you are a good vampire, that you deserve to live?"
*Maria stepped back as she looked straight in Francis' eyes and saw nothing but emptiness.*
"Fine then. Have it your way, be a martyr."
*Maria aimed the crossbow with an oak arrow that was dipped in holly water and had an silver tip which was blessed by a priest((What can I say....she's thorough. XD))at Francis' hart and was ready to fire.*

((From The Rue de Foucquia, Number 37))
*Black goo began seeping from the ceiling, puddling quickly. From the black pool Death's figure rose to an imposing height. Once he realized that he had jumped again, he sighed heavily.*
What's with this? Certainly not everyone in this city is diseased.
*He observed the scene unfolding and realized that perhaps someone had called him for another purpose.*

((Just for future reference, Irene's wounds are: A bruise on her cheek where Dracula hit her Marks on her wrists and ankles from being tied Bruises on her lower abdomen from being kicked by Kellie A bump on her forehead where she was knocked unconscious. I'm sure Maria can find a rumor to fit that...)) Despite my doctors' orders, I dragged myself to the foyer when I heard the slayer's voice. I screamed, horror stricken, as she aimed the arrow at my husband. "Francis!" I tried to make my way down the stair, although I was still shot up with medication and couldn't move very fast. ((See, she can't protect you, either. We make a good couple. )

*The sudden appearance of the battered newcomer made Death rethink the potential reason for his unexpected visit. Apparently this was a very dangerous place to be. He continued to observe coolly.*

*Vincent, who had come to Francis's home together with Aurel, appeared behind Maria and pushed her down on the floor.*
"Francis, are you out of your mind?! Get a grip!" *He shouted as he ran to stand beside Francis, ready to fight the young slayer.*

*Aurel had followed Irene and took a hold of her arm when she tried to run to Francis.*
"Irene, you are not in the condition of saving your husband. Please stand back for the moment."
*Aurel called out to Vincent and Francis.*
"I'll stay with Irene for now, you go ahead and whipe out that slayer!!"

*Realizing that all the people in the room had no idea of which person was actually going to die in the end, Death accepted that he would simply have to wait it out. He glided over to a plush arm chair and sat down with a heavy sigh.*
Some people are so unorganized. Disease is so much more pleasant. Murder is always so complicated...it's like people can't make up their minds. Him...her...that guy over there...the dog? Sheesh.

((Quick Question. Is Death visible? Because then Maria would really freak out. In addition to just freaking out because half of the vampire population is trying to kill her. Again.))
*Maria groaned as she jumped to her feet and stared at the gathering of people.*
"So much for a quiet kill."
*Without any hesitation she shot at the robe which held the chandelier that hang above them. Her arrow cut through the robe like a hot knife through butter and the chandelier came down with an horrible sound. She used the confusion that followed to attack Francis from the back, because he had jumped away from Vincent to avoid being hit by the chandelier.*
"Didn't your mother ever teach you that it's not nice hitting a lady."
*Maria stabbed him in the arm and kicked him in the back. Francis, however, didn't fight back, which only infuriated her more.*
"You're just as bad as Dracula!"

*Satan wasn't sure that Maria would survive her encounter, but just in case she did, she slipped a note into her bag*
To the kind woman with all the sharp objects:
I must let you know of what happened last night, so that none of that monster's lies may decieve you. Please do not tell him you know this, for if he was to find out what I have done...I have seen what happens to maids who displease Master Francis.
He has always been rough with Irene- more so then is proper. But last night...I can barely manage to write these words. I was cleaning the floor downstairs, when I heard a knock. I let in a man- I do not know his name, although he had a sinister appearence. Master Francis stood at the top of the stairs.
"Have you brought the money?", he asked.
When the strange man handed him a pouch of coins, he smiled and let him into a room, then locked the door. I became curious, and looked through the keyhole- and I wish to god I had not.
For there was his young bride tied to the bedposts as the stranger had his way with her. Master Francis simply stood laughing, and drinking what looked like wine from a bottle.
I beg you to tell someone of this, for I am afraid to.
((Yes, I've been reading up on Badfic!Raoul...why do you ask?))

As Aurel pulled me back, I looked at the vampires and the slayer pleadingly.
"Please", I cried out, "there has been enough violence for one night." ((Yay for statements that can be totally misinterpreted!))

*Mac pulls his horse to a stop and then looks into the house. Dimly lit figures seem to rush at each other and as he cranes his head he can hear shouting. Dismounting he begins to climb the steps.*
