*Simon fumbled with his keys, trying to unlock the door to his closet office. Once he managed to get them inside, he started to shift things around quickly. He hadn't had much with him, and yet there was a mass of paperwork backlogged on his desk and it was very apparent that he spent more than the occasional night here. He pulled the desk from the center of the room and rolled in a cot from the hall and draped a blanket from his chair over it. He turned back to Sarah Maria with a purse of his lips that blossomed into a nervous smile.*
"Will that do?"

*Sarah was in a bit of a daze. She hadn't expected to find Simon Tam here in the opera house, and it was almost too good to be true that they'd gone and had lunch together! And here he was, offering up his office so she could get some rest while she waited for House.
The place was charmingly messy. She smiled back*
"Perfectly!"

*Simon practically beamed with pride at a job well done.*
"Great. I'll go see if I can find Dr. House..."
*He started forward, as if to embrace her, but then stopped. Caught in the awkwardness, he quickly turned to his desk and bent to pull a book from the bottom drawer. He handed it to her without looking at it, not noticing it was a collection of romantic sonnets. He smiled anxiously and backed towards the door.*
"You just...get some rest."

*The almost-hug momentarily left her distracted, until she glanced down at the book in her hands...and smiled to herself.*
"I will! And thanks for this lovely book."
*She waggled the tome in the air, the title now clear*

*Simon's eyes widened in terror as he stumbled to explain.*
"Oh! I...umm...someone left...in the waiting room. I was...holding it...in case they..."
*He quickly found the knob behind him, turned it and escaped out into the hall.*

*Sarah had to clap a hand over her mouth to stop from laughing, and then quickly stuck her head out the door*
"Oh, no, Simon! It's perfect! I think it's romantic!"

*Simon fought to keep his head down as he fled under the guise of making his way to House's office.*
How could I be so stupid?

*Heaving a sigh, she pulled back into the room and softly closed the door. Silly man, really. It was endearing that he read poems. She sat down on the cot, a wave of exhaustion coming over her. Maybe her theory about being transported to the 'verse was right--it took a lot out of you. Nonetheless, she opened up the book and paged through it before finding some Lord Byron writings. Always a good thing. Unfortunately, she was tired enough that she couldn't read more than two poems before nodding off, the book still clutched in one hand *

((Correction: He's to PROUD to fight for love. But you're right. He'd either get mopey or start to harass the both of you. At least that's what happened when Wilson and Cuddy wen't out on their "not-dates" to the play, museum, dinner, etc.))
