Coming back in she smiled "Come on, can you stand?" She walked over to where the blood was and cut it off, removing it from Daniels arm. But left the hydration and moved it around the bed to the chair.

"I..."
Moving as though underwater, he sat up and swung his legs over the side, feeling as though he'd been hit by a truck.
"I have a feeling the answer's 'no'."
Gingerly, he slid onto his feet, and promptly wobbled in place until he braced himself against the hospital bed.
"Ha...there you go."

Isa smiled encouragingly and offered a hand "You lost quite a bit of blood, I'll get you some hospital garments while your clothes are being cleaned."
Did the hospital normally clean clothes? No, but Isa did.
She called for a nurse to get the blood and follow them.

"Right. Lead the way."

This was all so surreal--being in a hospital and getting treated, the friendly help, the way things felt to his senses now. When was the last time he'd been this bone-weary? When would this shit stop being all new to him? It's not like he hadn't been this, once.
He hobbled along with Isa, sighing as he forgot he hadn't the ability to and tried to read her mind, without of course any success.

Finally they made it to the room and Isa helped him in to bed "Do you need help getting undressed?"
She worked in a hospital, she had seen it all.
"Not that you couldn't by yourself, but that sort of movement might hurt your neck."

Not that the question bothered Daniel--he had no real modesty to speak of these days.
"Whatever's best."
He just wanted to sleep. The sooner, the better.

She nodded and grabbed the hospital garments as the nurse that followed him waited outside with the blood.
She started with his shoes, then his pants and so on, until he was completely naked, besides his undergarmets. Helping him pull on the hospital gown she smiled and placed a blanket on top of him "If you need more, just press the button on the side of the bed."
The other nurse came in and started hooking Daniel back up.

"Okay."
He'd fall alseep soon enough, stuck in a hospital for however long it would take, to heal up what would take seconds if he were still himself.
Yep, he was definitely killing Lestat at the first opportunity.

Isa checked on Daniel periodically through the night, worried that the poor boy might be suffering from some trauma that wasn't just physical.
Nobody who lived through these attacks were as calm as Daniel was.
It was bothering Isa, but it didn't show.

Help!

He dreamed, dreaming of a whole host of random things, none of which seemed to have to do with Lestat--most of what he was dreaming were old things, things that had happened when he'd originally been human. Stuff so old that it was pre-Louis, pre-anything vampire. He hadn't thought of any of it in ages.
He woke up by degrees, not knowing how long he'd been out exactly since his internal clock was now completely screwed-up.
Of course, there was one more thing to adjust to, now that he was human. It didn't register at first, but as he returned to wakefulness and the fuzziness of sleep faded away, he could feel a soft warmth on his face. Another old thing, this one comforting in it's familiarity. His eyes snapped open as he turned his head toward the window.
The sun. The sun.
He stayed lying there, just feeling the now gentle touch of the rays that made it past the blinds. He smiled. All right, so it wasn't all bad.
