Hi!
I wanted to share some pictures from my vacation to Scotland with you. Mind you, it is not Mal-the-character pictures. I hope you will enjoy them anyway.
I don't remember the name of this castle, but it is typical for Scotland.
For everyone that have plots going on in England: This is the city of York.
In front of the Viking Ship museum of York. I was having coffee in Starbucks across the street when I saw these two. I just had to grab my camera.
This is me, resting against the Wall of Hadrian. The Roman emperor Hadrian built a wall across North England, as a defense against the Picts, or Scots, as we call them today.
Edinburgh Castle, covered in fog
Some of the scenery took my breath away....
A Highland Fling in Inverness. This is NOT me dancing....
Here I am wounded at the Battlescene of Culloden. This was the battle where the Scots lost their independence and came in under the English reign.
This is the kilt Mel Gibson was wearing in the movie Braveheart.
On my way to the boat trip on Loch Ness, I had my first encounter with Nessie... I am the one wearing a hat.
This castle was located on a small island in Loch Ness.
These puppets were inside a cafeteria we visited for lunch.
Sírloine steak, a speciality from Scotland. The rings are baked onion. Jeremy, I posted this especially for you, since you love cooking so much.
For the lovers of Harry Potter: This is the location for one of his movies. I don't know which one.
The Isle of Skye with its mysterious landscape. Some of the rocks looks just like people. Creepy...
This is how the people of Skye lived 100 years ago. Skye is an Island of the Inner Hebrides...
The gravestone of William Shakespeare.
Dolls in costumes from Shakespeare's time.
Windermere, England. The home of Beatrix Potter.
And last, but not least, especially for Megan: Lancaster, England.
I hope you enjoy watching these pictures as much as I enjoy sharing them with you
