Har. They made the Mermaid Chair into a movie--filmed it in my hometown as a matter of fact--so why are you reading it?

It was for summer reading, and being my oh-so-bright self, I just took the book along on a vacation and forced myself to get through it.
I should have just used sparknotes when I got home.
And noooooooooow, in October, the lit teacher is telling us to revise our summer papers. And reread the books 30 pages per class. And 6 thesis statements for every 30 pages, apparently. And the book SUCKS. *weeps*

They're doing these random music medley sound test things repeatedly over the PA system--no idea what it is or why--and it's driving me bonkers.

I hate it when they do stuff over the PA system.

Me too. The PA system is weird about stuff like that. It's all crackly and staticky.

This one's really clear. It's just...really random. And repetetive. And cuts off halfway through. If you're gonna play a song, play the whole damn song.

So I started eating my dinner around 5 because I knew it would get comparatively busier as we got closer to the 7 pm sailing. Woe me--it just took an hour and a half to eat a little side-salad. Every thirty seconds, get up, slam it into the fridge and go sell another latte. Urk.

Awww! Poor thing! Alas, that is what I did for a year and a half, and what I fear I'll be doing this summer at Starbucks!
And my AIM isn't working, darn it!

At least this isn't Starbucks...the stories I hear...*shakes head* I'm also turning into a snob. Whenever sister mentions Starbucks I start muttering "support local certified fair-trade certified organic companies!" And I don't even drink coffee.
