Princess Lucinda, who is every Disney Princess I will think of all smashed together and is cursed to fall in and out of love with every man she meets until she finds the right one.
...So I say, good luck to my Sue.

Hmph. Stupidly busy at work. Weather delayed the first two ferries in the morning, they didn't send one out until 11, so it's been a rush to catch up the rest of the day and PLUS it's reading break so everyone's heading home for the weekend. I've already been through twelve litres of milk and it hasn't been four hours yet.

Now I'm up to twenty! *chagrin*
I'll have to phone the manager and ask him to ask whoever's coming in tomorrow afternoon to buy milk.

Two industrial garbage bags full of empty milk jugs.
Mmmm long weekend. Mmm reading break. Mmmm ferry cancellations/delays. The trifecta of OMGSOBUSY coffee kiosk. Didn't get out 'till half an hour after my shift was supposed to end. Had no time to study for online exam, but I got 58 point something percent anyhow so YAY I passed that's all I care about right now, and it's pretty good considering I didn't know squat about the material two hours ago. On the plus side: over 22 bucks in tips. Better than my best day as a waitress in a sit-down restaurant--19 bucks was my record for a full eight hour shift. This was seven hours in a kiosk.
People tip coffee people so much better than they do their waitresses, I've found.

*makes mental note*
...Oh, wait. I can't work anywhere with coffee until I'm 18. Crappit. I'm probably going to end up working at Baskin Robbins or something.

What do you do to coffee in your neck of the woods? Temper it with Jack Daniels or what? What's with the 18-years-old thing?
I think it's because coffee is a casual and happy kind of thing. You don't buy it because you have to (despite some people's remarks about being addicts and needing it, or whatever,) like you do for meals in restaurants because a part of you knows you'll regret not eating later. Unless you're pulling an all-nighter, coffee is a luxury item. And with meals it's easy to find things to complain about, since there are so many components. Seasonings, temperature, texture, presentation, etc. Coffee is REALLY hard to screw up, once you know the basics.
*wails*
There's coffee grounds in my haaaair!

They're afraid we'll blow up the machines. The only place to get coffee is Starbucks, and apparently some kid did blow up the machine or something a couple of years ago, so they won't even consider hiring you. Well, actually, I guess they serve coffee at, like Krispy Kreme. But me working at Krispy Kreme is a really, really bad idea ;D.

I feel so bad for you...the whole coffee-in-hair thing sucks. *hugs*
PS: Syd's pissed at you so...yea. It's so weird. Sark's cocky as hell but she actually likes him...Syd can't STAND Nadir though.

Don't go the Krispy Kreme route. Serving bad coffee will make you hate coffee. You will sometimes get short-tempered with the good coffee, but you love it just the same at the end of the day.
Syd--don't worry. You're the only girl Nadir's ever remotely CONSIDERED fighting with or challanging. He's of the "you don't hit girls!" school of thought. But Syd. Syd's not a girl. She's a menace.
