Genre? Like what, sci-fi?
...Writing student here. Use details.
I listen to all types of music, but I dunno what I sing, exactly.

Oh...-_-' I'd die if my parents stopped my lessons. XD
They were talking about me today...and laughing at me. They aren't taking me seriously when I say I want to go into opera. And it really sucks because they're my parents and all and...ugh. Nvm...I'm going to end up ranting.
Anyways~ How's your play comin' along?

Ehh the play's alright. I've got the idea in my head and now I've just gotta write it out. I've also got to knock together a set design for someone else's play, only I dunno if they're changing their draft at all, including the set ideas. Also--how does one take a kitchen/apartment setting and make it new and interesting? 75% of these plays take place in apartments/living settings.

Set design? What do you not do? ;D I'd set my play somewhere unexpected...hmm...like the Opera Garnier! Where does your's take place?

An apartment kitchen. Table, mostly. Divided in half by lighting cues for the male/female sides of the relationship. All I can think is pink light and blue light.

Man, my alarm isn't due to go off for another two hours and my day is already full of suck...
Missing class today because my stupid group for a project sheduled a meeting with our professor for another class smack dab in the middle of my morning class, so why bother going? Have not retained anything this week in that class, and have an online quiz due tonight which I'm thinking I'll fail unless I spend all my time at work studying and then go home at 9.30 and take it then. Which...I'll be tired by then, I'm thinking and have to get up for a 6.30 Saturday shift. Oy. But oh well. Am cold and cranky and have to write a review of Blade before I forget. And I come online in my insomnia only to have my friend's sister inform me that my friend's in the hospital because of a suicide attempt.
Ma, shut off the world a while, I'll be hiding under my bed.

*hugs back* Yeah. I feel awful, because it's like I've seen the signs all along, but I'd talked to her about it so I thought she knew not to do anything like that...a bunch of her close friends (people I didn't know,) have committed suicide over the last few years, one very recently, and I have been worried about a copy-cat kind of thing, plus her grandmother died a few months ago and I just felt/feel so powerless since I live so far away from her.
Anyhow...I'm going to try and go back to sleep now, I guess. I know I'm going to be dragging it later if I don't at least try...

That really blows. I remember when a good friend of mine tried to do that. All you can do know is stand by her, make her understand how much she is wanted in this life.

It's my second friend in the hospital in a bad way this week. A girl I was really close to in highschool was in a bad car-wreck on Saturday. I've not heard much other than she'll live, but life's going to be "difficult" for her from now on, whatever that means. Paralysis, burns, I don't know. Update: suicidal friend is stable. Evidently she poisoned herself and then went at herself with a blade of some sort.
Oh yay time to get up and face the day. *face/pillow*
