László was laughing, though it sounded a bit breathy as he also still recovering from the surprise from the kiss. Not a bad surprise, it had just been some time since there'd been any of that sort of thing since...well, the BBQ.
"It's really inconsistent. Like, half the people don't care and the other half do."

John laughed "It's been like that for a long time, Paris has entered an odd age, were between old and future minds and they have yet to fully become one."

"Hell, you could marry me and nothing could stop that. Seriously."
He'd actually been surprised to read it, though some people of course still stuck to the old traditions. His home country had become progressive enough to allow it, too.

"Isn't that something? When I was young, being this way... well it could get you killed."

"Well...it still could. People are still assholes, after all. It's just that the haters slowly seem to be phasing out."

((It's way to early in their relationship for John to even hear that word when it's uttered, haha))
"Haters, er right" he laughed, that was a new one for him "the world is a dangerous place" he mushed the hot dog in to his mouth and smiled.

László shrugged.
"You don't have to tell me that. SO, aside from gloomy conversation, were we going to do anything else? Seems like too nice a day to waste it indoors."

John chewed thoughtfully and shrugged "I don't really know, we could go window shopping or something."

Giving John's arm a tug, he started off.
"No offense, of course. It's just I never really 'got' the whole window shopping thing."

"Yeah, see, I avoided it because why tease yourself? It just makes not being able to buy it worse."
The farther away they got from the market area, the quieter it got.

John shrugged "I liked to dream back then" he smiled "anything was better than what I had, at least that's what I thought."

"I...didn't put a whole lot of faith in that kind of thing." He said quietly.
"I felt it was something for other people to do. I just knew I'd never see anything I dreamed of come to be, so why even bother? Now, I...well. Maybe I was wrong."
