"Then I'll take you," Jekyll said without thinking, because he wanted to do something for her, wanted to participate in her betterment. Perhaps it wasn't safe--he had not changed in the past few days, but he knew the danger to be lurking around any corner. But one gets tired of hiding, after awhile.

"That would be great!" She said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"I heard they were doing a new one soon. We could go see that one!"

"Whatever you like," Jekyll said, smiling gently. He didn't care much about opera, one way or another; he'd been so wrapped up in his work for years that he wouldn't recognize anything current. It didn't matter. Giving something back to Lucy did.
The sun had risen, and Lucy was alive and unharmed. Jekyll started to ponder what this meant. Of course, things were still in the testing stages, technically. "I should appreciate it if you would give me regular reports about your condition," he said. "It may be useful in determining further use of the compound, if any. And I'd like to examine you more properly, if you will permit it."

She nodded.
"Sure, yeah. I know you gotta keep an eye on things for a bit, to make sure there's nothing extra that you didn't want."

"Not just for my sake," he reminded her. "And as yet, I've not managed to solve our other... problem. But I will understand if you desire to seek other lodgings, so long as they are close and afford me the ability to come to you should you need assistance."

"Oh, but I don't have to leave, right? Going to another inn would be such a hassle, when I'm all settled-in here."
She didn't want to leave Jekyll, not at all. He was in all honesty the only person she really knew here in Paris (well, aside from...some undesireables) and she loved Henry too much to put distance between them. With all the insanity that went on, who knew how much time she'd have with him?
"I think I'll stay here."

Jekyll's eyes widened slightly, and he cursed the thread of relief that uncoiled within him.
"No," he said. "You don't have to leave."
But he still thought it was dangerous. He could not exactly name the dangers, though he knew some of them were emotional and some, perhaps, more serious. How much of it was cowardice, he was not sure.

"Great!" Her own relief she didn't even try to hide--she never would have thought to.
"D'you think we should head back now? I wanna try eating normal food again."

"Certainly," Jekyll said, standing up and offering Lucy his hand. "You must be hungry."

Taking the offered hand, she got to her feet, brushing off a few bits of grass from her dress before speaking.
"Oh yeah. I hope being a vampire didn't mess up how stuff tastes."

Jekyll laughed gently.
"It shouldn't," he said. "But you'll have to let me know."
They headed back to their rooms, Jekyll hoping they had enough food and decided they probably did, for now.

"I'll tell ya if anything is different than from before the vampire thing happened." She promised .

"Good," Jekyll said. "Thank you." And the cab that had brought them carried them home again.

**NEW DAY** Dressed now according to the regional fashions, Yuna didn't stand out as much as she did when she first arrived here. She still drew odd looks thanks to her staff, but aside from that no one paid too much attention to her. She was slowly getting used to the world, learning about all the different types of animals and such that could be found here (the flora and fauna, it seemed, were far less dangerous in this place than they were in Spira), and learning to distinguish the different languages spoken here and which were the most common. Still, she hadn't made much progress in finding out how she'd come to be here in the first place, even with running into others that seemed to be if not from her world exactly, then ones similar to hers. She hadn't seen any of them in quite some time--not since the incident with the multiple Bahamuts, in fact. I wonder how they're doing?
