"Of course you will" she kept climbing, forgetting her fear of heights very quickly.

He followed, ready to spring to the rescue just in case she did fall off the ladder. The last thing he needed was to inadvertantly be the cause of a human's death--especially not one who seemed to need help in her life.
"...this is taller than it looks." He said thoughtfully.

"Not that tall scardey cat" she came to the top of the rafters and sat down, waiting for him with a grin.

"Oh, not afraid of heights. I just didn't want you to fall too far if you fell off." He said, grinning.
Reaching the top, he glanced around.
"Wow."
The setpiece was an old one--a sweeping, double-sided grand staircase with an ornate clock. There was a poster that said "Titanic: Ship of Dreams"

Alex was looking at the set rather suspiciously. Another damned anachronism.
"Yeeees..." He said, accidentally causing a dust cloud when he touched a prop.

"Um."

The floor beneath their feet was sagging--why hadn't he noticed that earlier?
He glanced back at Madison, and realized what was going to happen before it did. Moving with his inhuman speed, ran over to where she was standing and pulled her out of the way, just in time to keep her from falling through and plunging two stories down.
"Damn."

Madison stared in shock.
"H-How did you move so fast?"
