*She laughed.*
"Oh dear, I'm completely soaked through." *She said, glancing down at the shirt which was clinging to her stomach and whatever was ocvering her chest. She didn't see him yet, as she hadn't been able to turn around, and she wouldn't be able to get off the horse until he did.*
((Which I've decided is linen bandaging, because she's not quite crazy enough to run about without... support for the girls.))

*Making sure the horse was steady first, Christian dismounted, making sure not to upset Micaela and throw her off-balance. He once again lifted her into his arms and then set her down on her feet. She could now see that he was just as soaking wet as she was, and that his white t-shirt had been rendered rather useless because that's hawt*
"You're not the only one."

*She flicked her eyes downward and nodded, laughing softly. She then blushed just the littlest bit, and looked back up into his eyes.*

*He glanced at her arm, touching it gently*
"Please tell me if it really starts hurting you. I don't want you to be in a lot of pain."

*She bit her lip and smiled shyly from proximity to him.*
"Of course." *She said softly.*

*He glanced at her soaking-wet form, moved to give her his coat, and then realized that he hadn't taken it with him.*
"I'd offer you a coat, but I seemed to have forgotten it. I guess we'll just have to stay close and try to keep warm."
*He put a friendly arm around her shoulders*

*She laughed, leaning her head onto his shoulder like she did with her other friends, rolling her eyes and pretending to be long-suffering.*
"Fine, if you insist... stealing my body heat..." *She teased.*

*They stood in companionable silence for a time, the only sound the gentle patter of rain on leaves, shuffling horses and the breathing of two people.*
"Is every outing here an adventure?"

*She grinned.*
"I try to make everything an adventure." *She said honestly.* "I went through one of the best boarding schools in England posing as a boy, meeting people I'd be friends with the rest of my life. Then I stowed away on a ship and hopped a train here. I don't like boring."
*What was odd is that she had memories of those things, but also memories of 2007 in Ohio. Something had affected her, and she had a feeling if she visited Ireland at the address that kept popping up in her mind, that she would find her family there, instead of 130 years in the future. She decided she liked this life story better, but that was one of the reasons she was visiting the Gypsy.*

*Christian chuckled*
"They could write a story about your life."

*She blushed.*
"All I can say is that riding's considerably easier when wearing pants." *She said, before sitting on the ground and patting the seat next to her with her good hand.* "Here, sit. It doesn't look like it's letting up anytime soon."

*He sat down, and his arm went back around her shoulders*
"You don't ride sidesaddle?"

*She laughed, shaking her head, and loosely draping her arm around his waist, leaning into him.*
"Nope. I learned to ride astride from my male cousins, and then at school it was excpected, since I was a 'boy'. Besides, women look ridiculous doing it. And it's nearly impossible to go fast."

"It DID always look as though the woman would fall off the horse any moment. Rather awkward way to sit, really."

*She laughed.* "My cousin Katharine tried to teach me, needless to say it didn't work out well. Da's side of the family ran a horse farm, so I grew up around them." *A prickle of pain ran up her arm as she tried to readjust it and she winced, whimpering just the slightest bit.*
