((I'll check it out!))
"Well thank you then for the suggestion, I believe that will suit me well."

((Sweetness!))
Me too. He smiled. "You're very welcome. I'm sure you'll do great."

Helga blushed. "Well, I don't know if great would be the right word. Now, would I live here in the opera house, or....Sorry if that's a dim question, but I tend to want to know everything before starting something new. I'm very detail oriented."

"Oh, don't worry about it. I'm happy to help. I know that the opera has dormitories, and they really don't check who's in what room. Anybody can live here, if they like." He put his hands in his pockets. "So, you're from the United States?"

"Yes, New Mexico actually. Did my accent give it away?"

He nodded. "Yeah, but I can't really identify what state somebody's from. I live in London, myself. Or did, anyway."

"Really?" Helga asked with a wistful voice. "I've always wanted to live there. It sounds like such a romantic place to live. Did you like it there?"

He nodded. "Absolutely loved it. I had this great flat, and there were great restaurants and bars and such." He sighed. "I miss it."

"I can tell."
Oh, could she tell. She could feel it. Well, rather she could feel his emotions as though they were her own.

Crowley could sense something strange about this girl. It wasn't the sort of feeling he'd gotten around Adam Young—she was unquestionably human—but she seemed to have... magic, or something. But that was preposterous! There was no such thing as magic! Although that didn't explain Agnes Nutter. Huh. He'd have to look into this.
"Do you miss New Mexico at all?"

"I can't say that I do. My life there was nothing but destitution and loneliness. I lived in a small, rotten orphanage in Roswell."

"Ah. Well, I promise you, there's nothing lonely or destitute about Paris. You might be pretty happy here."

"I hope. I don't think I can stand such pain any longer. Dealing with my friend's depression was bad enough, but with my own on top of it life was barely livable," Helga replied, relying on the hope that the double meaning of her words wouldn't be caught.

She sounds pretty depressed. Hmmm. Maybe I could get her to sell her soul...
"Things'll look up, don't you worry, Helga," he assured her.

"I truly hope you're right."
Helga became somewhat uneasy as she felt his emotions go from curiosity to excitement and hope. There was something about it that felt so sinister, but she couldn't see the man before her as having sinister intend. Then again, she was a visitor here in Europe.
