"I expect no less."
*He had swiftly calculated his chances against the men, and decided that, especially with Irene present and vulnerable, he had best try his chances later. He stepped forward and offered his hands.*

*One of the lackeys wasted no time in binding Holmes' wrists, the others keeping their eyes out for any trouble, be it from Holmes, Irene, or an outside source.*
"If you would be so kind, would you please escort Mr. Holmes up these stairs?"
*The lackeys nodded, two of them started to move Holmes forward while the rest continued their vigil*

*Holmes glanced once more at Irene, begging her to save herself. But when he turned back to Moriarty his face held not a trace of his concern, or his bitterness at being taken. He strode obediently up the stairs, under his own power.*

"No, don't do this!"
*Irene was restrained as Holmes left, crying silently*
You say I shouldn't rescue you...you know I have to...

*Francis was walking around the Opera, still in a daze from earlier events and the amounts of alcohol he had consumed, though he felt sober now. He wished he didn't. But then, when he walked down the stairs into the Foyer, he saw her. His beautiful Irene. She was crying. In an instant he had forgotten everything that had happened and he rushed over to her.*
"Irene! What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

*Irene started at his voice. Thinking he was Dracula, she began to step away, but fortunatly, the Sueniverse was the land of the Deus Ex Machina.*
"He's not the man you fear."
*In a rare display of sympathy, Irene's sueauthor stood at the top of the stairs, coming toward them slowly.*

He didn't know who this woman was, or how she knew that he wasn't Dracula, but he was glad that she did.*

*Irene stared at Mira, in shock*
"Who are you? How can I trust you?"
*Mira walked over and took Irene's hand. She looked deep into her eyes, and Irene seemed to show an unconscious recognition*
"I am your creator."
